As an Aircraft Mechanic, WG-8852-12, you will act as the crew chief with responsibility for directing the total maintenance effort on individually assigned aircraft. The work involves the total maintenance of complex, high performance military aircraft, ranging from multi-purpose heavy, multi-engine transports to the most modern sophisticated fighters and bombers. Fully responsible for providing detailed technical insight on individual aircraft's level of Mission Capability (MC), then develops and recommends a comprehensive course of action to maintain the aircraft at Full Mission Capability (FMC). All aircraft are fully integrated in and are part of the Total Force Mission of the United States Air Force. As an ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT WORKER, WG-6641-6, you will plan the overall allocation of personnel, funding, facilities, and equipment resources to the organizational segments supervised to accomplish work operations which, because of their scope, volume, complexity, operational tempo, and total force integration must be planned on an annual or multi-year basis. Because of the Total Force Mission ready status at the Operational Reserve level, and able to be fully integrated with USAF aircraft and missions upon activation and regular contingency operations, in addition to daily training, domestic operations, and support missions. Oversee munitions system modifications to include: Time Change Technical Orders, maintenance equipment and facilities update and modernization, deployment and mobility planning, manning, and financial forecasting, recurring Air Force mandated inspection requirements, mission and weapons systems changes, contingency planning relating to carrying out the military mission of the Wing, and the development of policies and procedures in the accomplishment of the work. Analyze work plans developed by subordinate workforce for accomplishment of assigned directives. Provide status of work projects, budget estimates, changes inequipment, facilities and techniques for mission planning purposes. Evaluate potential impact of improved technologies on existing programs and practices and recommends proposed changes to appropriate authority. This AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC technician position serves as a Pneudraulic Svstem Mechanic within a fuel systems shop responsible for inspection, repair and maintenance of aircraft fuel cells, water injection, entidetonant (ADI), and inflight refueling systems. Utilizing extensive knowledge of fuel systems maintenance practices and procedures, incumbent troubleshoots the systems and determines extent and tvpe of preventive and/or repair maintenance required and performs all necessary repairs, installation, and operational checks.

This position is located within a National Guard aircraft maintenance organization. Its primary purpose is to inspect, repair, modify, and service aircraft systems, components, and assemblies, both on- and off-aircraft.

As a Director of Force Support, GS-0301-13, you will serve as the Force Support Squadron (FSS) Director and to exercise first and second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the FSS, manage the activities of the FSS, Commander Support Staff (CSS) and oversee the planning, direction, and timely execution of high visibility and high impact FSS programs. This PD can only be utilized when the DSG Commander is the full-time technician. The Director of Force Support makes independent technical and executive decisions for the squadron in all areas of functional responsibility.
