What you'll be doing


⦁ Preparing and cooking meals⦁ Supporting with food orders⦁ Check all food is compliant with allergens⦁ Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals⦁ Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence⦁ Assisting with deliveries and stock checks / placing orders⦁ Placing food orders and maintaining kitchen records⦁ To share responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for the checking, probing and signing of all food deliveries⦁ To monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries.⦁ Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans⦁ Full knowledge of all menu items served⦁ Be able to work in a fast-paced Hospital kitchen environment.⦁ Working on the retail café driving breakfast, lunch, salad bar and deli bar⦁ Maintain the highest standards in food hygiene, service & presentation (HACCP & Health & Safety Legislation)⦁ To ensure that any Food Safety/Quality records assigned to you are being carried out daily within the kitchen and related areas, without exception.⦁ To maintain good communications and working relationships with your client, customers, and all staff. ⦁ Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations at all times. ⦁ To present an image at all times conducive to good customer relations. 




Experience


⦁ Relevant culinary qualification is desirable⦁ Previous experience in a similar role⦁ Allergen awareness⦁ Excellent team player and communicator⦁ A confident chef

What you’ll be doing

- General cleaning of accommodation and office areas
- Working in a team of 5, managing your time and duties and working as part of a team.
- Rubbish disposal
- Cleaning washrooms and kitchen areas including mopping, hoovering, dusting etc.
- Work effectively without supervision
- Clean designated areas and areas notified at short notice
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
- Ensure that all deadlines for completion of work are met
- Ensure that any client queries are dealt with effectively and quickly ensuring client satisfaction
- Perform any other duties required to complete the team tasks


Experience/Qualifications

- Excellent team player
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential as on the job training will be provided
- Be able to manage your work load in a good timescale
- Must be a UK resident with a minimum of 5 years in the UK due to security vetting

Experience

- Excellent organisation skills
- Previous experience essential
- A DBS check is required
