We are currently looking for a Chef de Partie to work with our team at Fort George, Ardersier, IV2 7TD
If you are currently working as a Commis or CDP and looking for a new challenge in a full time role and love creating meals that put a smile on peoples faces, then this is the job for you. Although your main place of work will be Fort George Barracks, there is the opportunity to work locally for overtime at short term camps.
For this role you must be 18+ , have eligibility to work in the UK and have resided for longer than 3 years. Security checks are required for this role
You must have reliable transport due to the location of the site and limited public transport.

What you'll be doing
- Reporting to the Sous Chef, working collaboratively with the kitchen team across different catering outlets regarding food production management to ensure minimal wastage, maintenance of food levels, food quality and brand standards
- Preparing food for military dining facilities and hospitality events
- Full knowledge of all menu items served
- Assisting the Sous Chef with post-analysis and ensuring all shift opening and closing checklists are completed
- Undertaking relevant training as required.
Experience
- Relevant culinary qualification and previous experience of working in a kitchen
- Certificate in food safety (or willing to obtain via our online e-learning)
- Excellent team player and communicator
- DBS and security checks required
