Our children's home is situated between Mildenhall and Lakenheath, in the Forest Heath District which boarders onto Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. It's a 5-bedded home for males and females aged 8 - 18 with emotional, behavioural difficulties and other complex needs associated. The home seeks to provide a safe and understanding ethos in which the young person can be assisted to address their behaviours and to take responsibility for their own actions. The emphasis of the work is by way of intervention and to challenge the inappropriate behaviour through a holistic therapeutic approach.
Our home has a small holding where we keep farm animals which provides environment enrichment for our young people. Our staff and young people help to look after these.
Due to the nature of this role, a full UK driving licence is required.

Resilience - We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.
-
Communication - Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
-
Organisation - As well as supervising the staff team, you'll need to be confident and organised in updating care plans and reporting information that will be relevant to the care of our young people.
-
Caring - Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.
-
Attentive - No young person is the same so being attentive to understand them and identify areas where we can support is important.
Above all, we provide a supportive and collaborative working environment where you can flourish in your career and feel incredibly rewarded by helping those who need it most.
