About the Role:
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm
Location: Sheffield Office, S3 8NS
This role will involve 1-2 days covering Reception and the other days will be based within the office undertaking HR Admin duties, whilst being available for Reception lunch cover.

Occasional travel across Yorkshire is required to meet the needs of the business

Autism Plus have an exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator/Receptionist to join the HR Team. The role will involve a combination of working on Reception, and within the office doing HR Admin duties. The purpose of the role will be to support the HR team in providing an efficient and effective HR service to employees and managers across the business, working alongside other HR Administrators based in other areas of the business. As well as ensuring the smooth and professional operation of the Head Office Reception area by dealing with calls and visitors efficiently.

The role will mainly involve Recruitment and Selection administration, including posting and refreshing job adverts, liaising with Managers across the business regarding any current vacancies, ensuring the appropriate pre-employment checks are undertaken for successful candidates, issuing offer letters/contracts, renewal of DBS checks for existing employees, dealing with incoming calls and visitors through Reception.

We are looking for an individual with:

- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Previous administration experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to be effectively understood at all levels
- Familiar with using telephone systems and Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise work
- Approachable and willing to help others
- Good team worker, as well as being able to use own initiative

About the Role:
Shifts Patterns: 36 hours a week on a fortnightly rolling rota basis, shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and public holidays. Sleep shifts may also be required.

Autism Plus are looking for Support Workers who are emphatic and compassionate to provide person centred support to individuals with Autism, leaning disabilities and mental health conditions within our new Hull Supported Living Services opening soon. The role is incredibly rewarding as you will support individuals to live as independently as possible, empower them to identify their goals, pursue interests and hobbies, support health and well-being, and to be a part of their local community.

Experience in the care sector is absolutely essential for this role. You must be able to commit to a fully paid, full time 3-week induction when you start your employment with us.

Key responsibilities

- To assist individuals in their home in accordance with Care Plans and assess their skills and needs
- Provide practical support for individuals such as helping with household tasks including cooking, cleaning, laundry, personal care and paperwork
- Provide emotional support to individuals by talking to them and listening to their problems and concerns
- Understanding their communication needs and adapting communication to each individual, e.g. sounds, tones, body language
- To offer unconditional positive regard to individuals, to respect right to privacy and to ensure that their dignity is maintained at all times
- Becoming both a role model and companion to the individual and uncovering shared interests, such as hobbies and outings
- Assist in planning and pursuing agreed strategies to support and alleviate behaviour that presents challenge
- Supporting and monitoring their healthcare needs, including administering medication, where applicable
- Supporting individuals to pursue hobbies, interests, leisure activities and new skills, enabling them to integrate within the local community
- Helping individuals with budgeting and paying bills
- Handle petty cash on their behalf according to company procedures
- Accompanying individuals to appointments and meetings with other agencies and healthcare professionals
- Working with families to help them to support individuals in the most effective way possible
- Liaising with other support workers, social workers and relevant members of the health care profession
- To assist in ensuring the environment is safe and responsive to individual needs
- To keep appropriate records on all matters including untoward or unusual behaviour
- To protect confidentiality of personal information and ensure the information is only disclosed to those who have a right and need to know
- To provide verbal and written reports
- Participate in always promoting a team approach including supporting colleagues when required and assisting in the induction of new staff
- Undertake other ad-hoc duties relating to the role
- Maintain a clean safe environment for individuals, staff, and visitors
- Assist with mobility, transferring using hoists and moving and handling equipment
- Promote independence and life skills with the individuals we support
- Assist and support individuals with meeting personal hygiene needs
- Assist with meals and drinks

Essential skills/Experience:

• Ideally qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Social Care
Minimum of 1 years experience within the care sector

The Team

As a member of the Specialist Employment Team, you will improve life opportunities for individuals with neurodiverse conditions, supporting them one-to-one towards their goals in education, training, voluntary work, or paid employment. You will work from our offices, as well as travel to meet individuals in accessible, community locations as well as providing some support virtually to individuals across the UK.

The role will involve…

Developing individual action plans, identifying barriers, assisting with overcoming these barriers, and utilising knowledge of local resources and networks to provide appropriate support. Enabling individuals to grow in confidence, ability, and personal effectiveness, you will deliver a range of interventions to support progression in the following areas:

- Social skills / relationships.
- Using community resources and facilities.
- Self-organisation, motivation, and coping abilities.
- Employability skills and preparation towards voluntary work and / or paid employment.
- Increasing confidence and communication skills with the aim of supporting progression.
- Engagement in education and / or job search activities.

This would be achieved through person-centred support, practical assistance, teaching, advice, role modelling, encouragement, and positive feedback. You will be involved in facilitating job clubs, group activities, linking with education, as well as other objectives depending on an individual’s requirements.

We are looking for an individual with:

- Experience in supporting people with additional needs e.g., autism, mental health, and Learning Disabilities, ideally in a similar role.
- Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and resilient.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and are experienced in communicating outcomes.
- Skilled in working with people at all levels, including jobseekers, professionals, and parents/carers.
- Ability to support individuals in the workplace as a job coach where necessary, provide advocacy, and work effectively with employers.

About the Role:
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am till 4pm, occasional evening and weekend work may be required to cover organised events.
Location: Knaresborough

Essential: Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle

This role is to oversee and coordinate the Knaresborough Social Enterprise Service where individuals with Autism and other disabilities are supported to learn new skills and develop their work experience opportunities whilst also promoting physical, emotional and social wellbeing. The Social Enterprise Coordinator will take responsibility for the day to day running of the Knaresborough Enterprise by supporting the Session Leaders and Session Support Workers to achieve all session aims and objectives to develop the skills of individuals accessing the service.

Key Responsibilities
- To oversee the service when the Service Manager is not on site. To help coordinate the day-to-day provision of work experience placements and activities, planning timetables and running the daily sessions, working closely with the Service Manager to deliver safe and meaningful work experience and sessions to trainees that enable them to reach their targets.
- To ensure staff cover due to staff absences if the Service Manager is not available (at times with little notice) for work experience and sessions. Run sessions and be able to work from the session plan/timetable or have a contingency session ready that can be delivered. To support the personal care needs of trainees as necessary.
- To ensure the smooth running of the building, ensuring it is clean, tidy and safe. Carry out the designated Health and Safety checks as requested by the Service Manager and report any repairs.
- Make sure all resources are available in advance for planned activities. To monitor session content and ensure staff are recording trainees’ target progression. To advise Support Assistants in delivery of the sessions where required and evaluate each session to identify the achievements against targets and any changes required to increase the impact and outcomes for trainees. Helping trainees set their targets annually, recording the information and ensuring this is shared with the relevant staff.
- Supporting trainees on work experience in the community, our café/shop and our chocolate factory to learn work-based skills in catering, customer service, administration, marketing and retail. To assist in ensuring that the environment is safe and responsive to individual needs and support the trainees, enabling them to integrate with each other and members of the staff team, To ensure that trainees are enabled to become as independent as possible and to grow in confidence, competence and personal effectiveness. To achieve this through the provision of practical assistance, support, teaching, advice, role modelling, encouragement and positive feedback.
- Supporting staff to identify risks and ensure staff supporting trainees complete a written risk assessment. Revising and adapting risk assessments as required and sharing these for approval with the Service Manager.
- To be the first point of contact on a daily to basis to ensure the smooth running of the service. Liaising with parents/carers, transport etc. and supporting staff with their queries, offering guidance and advice as and when needed, escalating questions or concerns to the Service Manager.
- To support in the induction of new staff, volunteers or work experience students. To support work experience students when they are with us and along with the Service Manager is their first point of contact for support. To contribute to the training of new and existing staff and volunteers, through comprehensive induction programs or focused training sessions.
- To encourage the involvement of volunteers in sessions, providing support and guidance enabling them to make the maximum contribution to the sessions safely and appropriately.
- Conduct staff meetings as and when required by the Service Manager, liaising with other members of the team as necessary.
- To hold a full cleaning driving license and be prepared to drive workplace vehicles.
- To assist, when needed, the Service Manager to showcase the service we offer to potential new clients.
- To adhere to organizational financial policies and procedures including the safe handling of cash.
- To ensure that all Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed to maintain a safe environment for trainees and staff, reporting and following up any faults or health and safety concerns. To follow security procedures for the building.
- To adhere to organisational Safeguarding procedures reporting any concerns in line with the procedures.
- To ensure that all policies and procedures are followed, contributing to the development and review of policies and procedures as necessary.
- To attend mandatory training relevant to your role and responsibilities and attend additional training relevant to your role at the request of the Service Manager.
- To contribute to the promotion of the organisation and high standards of interaction with customers, supporting the growth of income and development of the organisation.

Autism Plus are looking for a Team Manager to provide leadership and direction to a team of Support Workers in order to provide person-centred care to individuals with Autism, mental health conditions and learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will:

- Manage, lead and motivate the staff team, volunteers or individuals within the service.
- Ensure that service delivery is monitored and recorded accurately and competently to the agreed quality standards, policies, and procedures.
- Observe and monitor the emotional and physical well-being of the individuals we support.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of legal frameworks, Dols, MCA and Court of Protection.
- Inform relevant staff (Registered Manager) and agencies of any concerns or significant changes in their needs, behaviours and circumstances, adhering to the Mental Capacity Act and Autism Plus Safeguarding policy and procedure.
- Ensure that any emergencies and incidents are responded to promptly and appropriately within Autism Plus policy and reporting procedures to maintain the welfare and safety of all individuals on site.
- Conduct and document care and risk assessments and develop care plans related to the assessed needs and choices of individuals

- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or qualified by experience
