The role
As an Entry Level Paint Technician, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be part of a team who prepare and paint automotive components and complete vehicles.
Day-to-day, you'll prep of vehicle body parts, removing dents, repairing scratches, polishing, and refinishing along with accident repair work.
- Full vehicle colour changes and re-sprays
- Fault finding and rectification of paint defects
- Prepare components for final paint finish
- Bodyshop repairs
This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.
This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Walsall. Hours of work are 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Thursday and 7:00am - 1:00pm Friday (early finish every Friday).
Essential experience of the Entry Level Paint Technician:
- Basic automotive, panel prep or bodyshop experience
- Basic understanding of mixing primers and paint
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Basic PC skills
- Excellent attention to detail
