The Focus of the Role:
This is a pivotal role working across all teams in the B2B department, supporting multiple workstreams, change projects and business as usual goals. It is integral to the success of the Fleet News, Automotive Management (AM) and RAIL brands.
You’ll be supporting the CRM & Marketing Manager in the planning and execution of efficient and effective marketing campaigns; analysis, segmentation, and reporting, in line with marketing strategies across the portfolio of brands, which may include magazines, digital offerings and events, with a specific focus on driving revenue, acquisition and retention of customer audiences.
You will help manage activities to generate engagement of our audiences via targeted and integrated multichannel marketing, and drive the integrity of the B2B data, ensuring it is collated and maintained to be able to produce accurate analysis, reporting and segmentation. You will be responsible for ensuring that data capture points are consistent and compliant, meeting the needs of the business.
You will support our relationships with the third parties who provide services responsible for marketing and data management. Suppliers include data management, Email Service Provider (Adestra), website / CMS and data enrichment agencies. Ensuring that data protection and governance is maintained and follows GDPR / Data Protection compliance rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer the Email Service Provider (Adestra) new starters, advising on Email Marketing best practice; ensuring importing / data mapping and data table management rules are clear, and support on queries that need to be raised via the Adestra Account Manager
- As a brand ambassador, manage changes to the email marketing templates, ensuring that all users remain compliant and on-brand
- Deliver campaign tactics for customer-led multichannel marketing plans for engagement and acquisition and retention; from segmentation of audience, building campaigns and reporting of campaign success metrics that support Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
- Actively seek out resolutions where missing data, discrepancies and errors exist and use judgment on whether to resolve the issue independently or raise with CRM & Marketing Manager/suppliers
- Managing data imports and list management, to drive data strategy in achieving completeness, uniqueness, consistency and accurate database values
- Respond to data requests from internal and external stakeholders, providing segmentation and insight on behaviours, demographics, and preferences
- Attend regular meetings and work closely with the Editorial, Events and Commercial Teams to ensure we all continually strive to maximise acquisition and retention opportunities across our brands and offerings
- As a GDPR and Data Protection champion, you will support the CRM Marketing Manager and the B2B department in best practice and data processing aligned to Bauer rules
- Promote and drive the upkeep of the Marketing Campaign Calendar, ensuring successful scheduling of all email campaigns via staff and external agencies
- Coordinate inbound marketing queries and leads, ensuring systems are processed compliantly
- Attend selected B2B events, which will require some travel within the UK
What You'll Bring:
- Attention to detail, accuracy, analysis, and the ability to interrogate is your superpower.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office understanding, especially Excel, with proven success using v-lookups (required).
- Experience of working with CRM / database management systems and processes (required).
- Able to use your own initiative, working autonomously, but also collaborating and communicating exceptionally within a team (required).
- Proficient understanding of GDPR legislation (required).
- Able to continually re-prioritize numerous workstreams, working at pace in a complex and fast changing environment (required).
- Comfortable collaborating and liaising with various stakeholders (required).
- Experience of working with Email Service Providers (desirable).
- Previous experience of working with analytical tools/platforms (desirable).
- Ability to create accurate, single point of truth data, in an environment where data comes from various sources (desirable).
- Ability to identify better ways of working, problem-solve and put forward pragmatic solutions in a diplomatic manner (desirable).
