Support Worker/Health Care Assistant - Neuro Rehab

We are currently seeking a Support Worker/Health Care Assistant to join our team in a Neuro Rehab facility. As a Support Worker/Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals who have experienced neurological injuries or conditions. In this role, your main responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, rehabilitation activities, and daily living tasks. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that individuals receive the highest level of care and support. Responsibilities
Assisting individuals with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Supporting individuals in rehabilitation activities to improve their mobility, strength, and coordination
Assisting with medication administration and maintaining accurate records
Providing emotional support and encouragement to individuals and their families
Assisting individuals with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, household chores, and maintaining personal hygiene
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individual care plans
Monitoring individuals' progress and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a healthcare or support work role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Empathy and compassion for individuals with neurological conditions
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic health record systems
Certification or training in basic life support and first aid is preferred, but not required
Hours Per Week:
Start Time: 20:00
End Time: 08:30
Pay Per Hour: £12.50
Location: Great Harwood, Blackburn
