The role:

To take responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of the care home and to achieve an industry leading standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and effective management for all staff employed in the home.
Promote a caring environment that is delivered according to latest guidelines, best practice, legislative and regulatory requirements.
Ensure the effective financial and commercial management of the home in accordance with company policy.
Ensure that a high level of satisfaction with the service is achieved and maintained as well as maintaining excellent relationships with relatives, residents , purchasers and external agencies to build and maintain a positive reputation in the local community.

What We're Looking For:

2-3+ years Home Manager experience.
Care of older people in a Residential and Dementia setting
Ability to control and manage a budget and accounts.
Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Health and Safety Legislation
Ability to raise standards through innovation and new ideas

Customer Relations Manager

£40,000 + uncapped commission

We have an exciting new role for a Customer Relations Manager based at Llys Herbert care home in Cardiff. As an experienced sales and business development professional who thrives on meeting & exceeding revenue targets, you will promote Llys Herbert through community relationships, events, and PR, ensuring a high level of customer service for each enquiry.



Key Responsibilities:


Achieve targets for resident occupancy and average weekly fee.
Promote the care home and drive enquiries through events, sponsorships, and PR.
Communicate accurate information to prospective clients about our facilities, services, and prices.
Monitor competitor landscape and identify market opportunities.
Collaborate with the Home Manager and Head of Departments.
Complete all required reports accurately and on time.
Available for evening and weekend meetings and events as required.

Enhancing the dining experience of our residents
Encouraging social interaction between residents
Providing great customer service
Ensure the dining room is set up prior to all mealtimes
Monitor appropriate checklists in support of dining area cleanliness
Asist in keeping the Bistro area replenished
Assist with special events held within the home

About you


Level 2 in Food Hygiene (or willingness to undertake the qualification within 12 weeks)
Experience in catering services (waiting/serving) is beneficial, but not essential.
Excellent organisational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet the business needs.
Effective time keeping and time management.
