Our Domestic Abuse service provides short-term housing and tenancy-related support to women who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. The service is currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Support Officer to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced support officers’ who enjoy a varied role.
You’ll provide invaluable practice and support to women and their children such as advocacy, support and guidance around welfare, housing and legal entitlements as well as supporting women to move to safe and permanent accommodation.
As a Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering quality service and achieving positive outcomes. You’ll be a positive role model and you’ll bring our values to life and share our passion and commitment to always strive to find creative ways to enrich the lives of those we support.
We welcome candidates with experience in the housing and support sector. But we’re also looking for people who may not have this experience but have the qualities and skills we feel would most benefit our customers; professionalism, empathy and understanding, life experience and a desire to develop their knowledge and skills to best support our customers.
A full training package will be provided to new members of our team to help them develop the skills to become a great support officer.
