We are recruiting qualified Social Workers to work within our Mental Health Teams in Coventry. We have a number of social work posts, you will be based at Swanswell Point, Coventry City Centre.

You will be supporting people who are living with a range of mental health challenges including psychosis, mood and personality disorders, and self-harming behaviours.

The Teams work towards specific interventions embracing strength-based recovery practices, Safeguarding, The Care Act, Mental Health and Mental Capacity Acts. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Public Health team supporting the development and ongoing sustainability of strategic partnerships that aim to improve the health and wellbeing of Coventry residents.

Working with the Population Health Policy Officer and Domestic Abuse Programme Manager the post will:

• Support the development of the Health and Wellbeing Board and relevant Scrutiny Boards
• Coordinate partnership work between a range of statutory and voluntary agencies to act on findings from Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews (DARDR’s) and Child Death Overview Panels (CDOP)
• Provide co-ordination and administrative support for Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews (DARDR) ensuring that the reviews are completed in line with legislation, statutory guidance, local guidance and best practise
• Be a key point of contact for independent DARDR Chairs and external agencies ensuring the process is delivered effectively
• Manage MS Teams and Sharepoint systems that support these workstreams
• Provide a single point of access for the CDOP team. The CDOP team sit within the ICB and require Coventry City Council to participate in child death reviews, child death panels and Sudden Death Joint Agency Responses. The post holder will be a key contact for the board in ensuring a timely and appropriate response from within the Council so that statutory duties are met.

• You’ll have significant experience in project support and admin duties including organising meetings, taking minutes, capturing actions, lessons learnt and good practice.
• You will have experience in communicating with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels.

The Food and Safety Team is responsible for administering all requirements under food and health and safety law including inspections, complaint investigations, and accident investigations. We also administer the Safety Advisory Group to support safe events in the City.

We are seeking a positive, experienced, enthusiastic, talented, and driven professional who cares about the development of our great city to join our busy, high-performing, forward-thinking team.

​You will be working in our Food and Safety Team which sits under the wider Regulatory Services Division, made up of multi-disciplinary professionals including Licensing, Trading Standards, Housing Enforcement and Property Licensing, Community Safety, Building Control, Taxi Licensing and Community Safety.

You will be working under the general direction of the Principal EHO - Food and Safety, to enforce all relevant legislation administered by the department, and to educate and encourage the public and business proprietors to improve relevant standards.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Environmental Health Practitioner who has detailed knowledge of the law relating to Environmental Health issues, investigative techniques, and the law of evidence.

Recent experience and competency in the enforcement of health and safety, food safety and food standards legislation is essential.

To apply for this role, you must possess a Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health and be EHRB registered.

You must also be competent under the provisions of the FLCOP to inspect high-risk food businesses for food safety and food standards and to use the full range of food safety and food standards enforcement powers open to the profession.

In addition, you must be competent to enforce the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and associated Regulations. You must be competent to serve Improvement and Prohibition Notices and have comprehensive experience in complex accident investigations.

• How you have worked in partnership with others to achieve a mutual goal.
