As a Natural Resources Specialist you may:
- Ensure OCED project compliance with the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) and the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and related regulations.
- Assist in developing standards, policies, procedures, and processes to support cultural resource compliance and archaeological identification, protection, and recovery related to OCED projects.
- Performs risk-based reviews for NEPA, NHPA, and other major environmental issues that will help OCED successfully execute demonstration projects that will unleash private sector capital towards clean energy projects.
- Work collaboratively with other DOE employees and other federal, state, and local environmental officials, as appropriate, to ensure consistency and efficiency in NEPA and NHPA compliance.
- Evaluate assigned programs/projects and prepares documentation to support OCED's needs.
