**LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY**

A Director of Sport Development is required within a unique and vibrant, growing co-ed faith based school in South-Western Sydney, The school has a strong reputation for its community focus, standards and achievements, emphasising academic excellence, pastoral care, and faith and cultural understanding.
FULL TIME PERMANENT POSITION
Teaching Load: 0.8 FTE Teaching Load and 0.2 FTE Leadership Load
Leadership Allowance Level 1 or 2
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing an inter-school sport competition pathway students Years 3 to 12 and to promote sport
Directing and overseeing high-performance co curricular sporting provision across Years 7-12
Competitive Athlete Programme Leadership, facilities, resources and budget management.
Working in collaboration with the Head of PDHPE, Coordinator of Sport, Coaches and teaching staff responsible for the Competitive Athlete Programme (CAP), to ensure student player development in preparation for sporting competitions.
Competition and Event Management (Sports Promotion) - Oversee the development and smooth transition into competitive sport for inter-school fixtures.
Competitive Athlete Programme (CAP) - Coach Management
General Sports Management (Budget, Facilities/Resources, Line Management)
On commencement this position will have a 0.8 FTE Teaching Load and a 0.2 FTE Leadership Load - there will be further teaching load reduction as inter-school sport and administration demands grow, following discussion and approval by the Principal.
Sports include: Oz-Tag, Football, Volleyball & Netball
Requirements:
Appropriate Sports or PDHPE Degree with teaching qualification.
Minimum 5 years' experience leading/managing sport development programmes and coaching staff.
Have the capacity to be self-directed and autonomous and work with others internally and externally.
