As a skilled creative artworker with a keen eye for detail, who thrives working collaboratively within teams, your primary role is to work closely with the design and production teams to ensure creative deliverables are executed at the highest standard. Delivering consistent and accurate final artwork across a variety of media, including corporate reports and publications, campaigns, event collateral and digital products. The role requires great attention to detail, accuracy, self-motivation, and the ability to work to deadlines, even under pressure. Equally, comfortable working alone or as part of a wider team, you will provide a high level of technical expertise and ensure all work adheres to visual identity guidelines. With previous experience in a creative artworker role, you'll have strong technical ability as well as a good design sensibility with skills in Adobe and Microsoft, and an excellent understanding of typography and layout. This role requires an ability to work on a range of projects simultaneously: some solo and others in collaboration with colleagues in the creative team and wider Communications Office. You will be working in a fast-paced, welcoming studio alongside a friendly and dedicated team.
Main Duties
- Proactive team player who can work collaboratively in a small team.
- Provide skilled and technically precise input and support the creative team to create artwork across a range of formats using advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Excellent eye for detail, accuracy, and precision. Reliable, methodical, and conscientious, even under pressure.
- Demonstrable understanding of working with an existing design system to flex and stretch for different touchpoints.
- Comfortable with basic retouching of imagery, logo versioning, graphic language application across a multitude of different formats.
- Strong typography and layout skills, ensuring artwork is consistent, accurate and follows brand guidelines.
- Take responsibility for hitting deadlines, being aware of timings, mitigating and communicating risks to delivery to key stakeholders.
- Understands production and print processes and techniques, works closely with print procurement and print services teams, corrects and formats documents and carries out proof checking prior to print. Experience in setting up files for large format print and digital production.
- Manage and archive accurate artwork files and supply to relevant stakeholders.
- Comfortable in preparing files that meet print and web standards.
- Adapt existing artwork to alternative layouts and/or formats.
- Create web assets to correct size and scale.
- Excellent command of Microsoft software, including Word and PowerPoint
