EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Satellite Communications Intern in our Hughes Network Systems division. The position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Review system operations plans and documentation.
- Develop and verify system operations plans and procedures.
- Integrate and operate very small aperture antennas, switches, and servers.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and fault isolation during both system testing, and component testing to ensure systems meet standards.
- Develop and/or improve products used to command, control, communicate and monitor the satellite communication systems.
- Develop of and/or modify procedures that support lab and field testing with customer systems.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Telecommunications, or related technical field.
- 3.0 GPA or above
- 60 credits or more by start of internship, June 2024
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with common electronic test equipment to include spectrum analyzers, signal generators and power meters.
