Position – SOX Manager, Burton Upon Trent
Full time permanent position, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote
Come and join our amazing team here at Inspired gaming led by our Director of Audit & SOX. We are looking for a SOX Manager to be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley reporting framework across the Inspired Finance team, leading and coordinating efforts to ensure that internal controls over financial reporting are effectively designed, implemented, and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices. Liasing with external auditors, and providing regular feedback, updates and training to the finance team.
Work with the Inspired Finance teams to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley reporting framework.
Liaise with external auditors to remediate identified deficiencies at the walkthrough and testing phases of the annual SOX audit.
Act as central coordination point for year-end SOX testing, providing populations, requested samples and acting as first point of contact to resolve any related queries.
Provide quarterly feedback to the Director of Audit, SOX and Accounting Policy and Chief Financial Officer to be included in the reporting provided to Audit Committee.
Liaise with external auditors to agree timelines for walkthroughs and testing of Inspired SOX controls.
Perform continuous audit of Inspired SOX controls to ensure performance of SOX controls is in line with the stated controls and procedures as documented on the Risk and Control matrix.
Provide regular updates to the Inspired finance team in relation to audit findings, audit progress, remediation steps and any regulatory/reporting changes that would impact how SOX controls are designed and performed.
Stay updated with regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging best practices related to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. And support with training to Inspired finance teams to increase awareness of SOX requirements and thus the responsibilities of each team member in relation to achieving SOX compliance
We are a complex business so it would be fantastic if you had the following attributes:
Extensive experience in internal audit, external audit, or SOX compliance roles, preferably within a publicly traded company or public accounting firm.
Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, COSO framework, and internal control principles
Experience of US GAAP
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex processes and identify control deficiencies.
• Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Office applications
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks
• Approachability at all levels of staff and management
• Ability to work within a wider operational team & fully contribute to management discussions

We do offer flexible working, but we would like someone to be based in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays with Mondays and Fridays at home.
