We have a great opportunity to join our team at an extremely exciting time for the business. The business has recently moved into new UK headquarters in Burton on Trent and we are currently standardising our finance processes and implementing a new ERP system.
Reporting to the Financial Controller – Technology you will support in providing analysis, reporting and insight over our fixed assets including software. Working with the business to ensure that all of our fixed assets are fully recorded in the accounting system to support in decision making. As part of the finance team you will be responsible for hitting key deadlines and ensuring audit and SOX compliance.
As part of the finance team you will be responsible for:
The Fixed Assets Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s fixed assets. This role involves recording acquisitions, dispositions, and depreciation of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting.
Responsible for completing month end postings related to fixed assets in line with timetable, actively looking for ways to automate and create efficiencies, fully reviewing numbers for completeness and accuracy.
Support Tech Financial controller with accounting procedures at month end including completion of balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring Audit and SOX requirements are adhered to.
Build relationships with the wider business, ensuring that correct procedures are being followed over fixed assets and that your data analysis supports decision making.
Work alongside Operations team to ensure correct processes are followed around fixed asset purchases and set in D365.
Support the Financial Controller in providing insight and analysis for the segments (Gaming, Leisure and Virtual & Interactive) over the software development fixed assets and software project costing and profitability.
Responsible for completing month end postings related to software development in line with timetable, actively looking for ways to automate and create efficiencies, fully reviewing numbers for completeness and accuracy.
Working as part of finance team to identify and drive efficiencies across the team and ensure good communication in place.
We are a complex business so it would be fantastic if you had the following experience and skill set:
Part Qualified or wanting to study for accountancy qualification
Good knowledge of Excel and experience of working with an ERP system (Dynamics 365 beneficial)
Best practise mindset
Good written and verbal communication skills
The ability to build relationships and influence others to achieve results
Be a true team player, yet self-motivated
Ability to prioritise workload
Prior experience of working for in a fixed assets (tangibles and Intangibles) is desired
The motivation to want to understand/learn and apply the USGAAP technical accounting requirements around software development.
