The Critical Care & Transportation (CCAT) Manager is responsible for all aspects of medical and non-medical related repatriations and evacuations as well as cases that meet the critical criteria are dealt with appropriately. The CCAT Manger will liaise with other departments and the Medical Team and will report to the Operations Manager. The CCAT Manager will ultimately be the main point of contact for complex medevac and critical/complex cases and responsible for distributing the workload evenly and fairly.

What does a day in the life of a CCAT Manager look like:
- Oversight of coordination of all patient transportation cases.
- Main point of contact for cases of admission in intensive care units in low risk countries and all admissions in high risk countries.
- Joint responsibility with Operations Manager in overseeing large loss process (CCAT Manager is responsible for transport/ICU admissions and simpler admissions in high risk countries; while Operations Manager is responsible for any other large loss).
- Main point of contact for clients regarding large losses, for the most part complex patient hospital admissions and patient transportation.
- Main liaison with Medical Team for logistics of patient transportation.
- Ensure optimal staff levels and be point of contact for team's issues and sickness, etc.
- Reporting, SLAs and team's KPIs.
- Assisting the Global Provider Network team with identifying/suggesting providers in new locations in order to meet the needs of clients.
- Overview of all new and ongoing evacuation/repatriation and critical care cases prioritising actions according to medical and client requirements.
- Responsible for all medevac cases, including but not limited to evacuation from private hospital to public hospital, evacuation from site of injury/accident to closest adequate hospital, evacuation from a high risk country to adequate place of care, search and rescue inclusive of helievac, ground transportation, air ambulance, repatriation of mortal remains.
- Act promptly when critical issues are identified, ensuring such cases are escalated to the medical team / managers as appropriate.
- Focused on cost containment.
- Overseeing the coordination of air ambulance evacuation and repatriation of individuals from initial request to patient drop off.
What We`re Looking for:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong work ethic and the initiative and ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Attention to detail and good listening skills. Can follow complex instructions
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills (both written and spoken)
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude
- Experience of working in an insurance or compliance environment would be advantageous
- Fluent in English and an additional language German, French or Italian speakers (2nd language is not essential)
- Proficiency with Microsoft office suite
- Strong customer service skills, both for telephony and written communications
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be adaptive to the needs of the team.
