Do you want to work for a multi-award-winning organisation offering high quality housing with care services to older people? We are seeking a Team Manager for our Retirement Living Service.
You will be responsible for managing a team of care and support staff delivering high quality housing with care services to older members of the Jewish Community
This role will include, working early mornings, evenings and weekends and occasional night shifts based on the needs of the service
Working 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday with some weekend shifts when required especially during service recovery. There is an on call rota as part of this role for every other week.
What you’ll be doing: - Leading and managing the delivery of care and support for our tenants, and deputising for the Registered Manager.
- Line-manage a team of Care and Support Workers, ensuring supervisions, appraisals, coaching, and mentoring is carried out.
- Directly delivering care and support to tenants acting as a role model to Care and Support staff in relation to best practice
- Responding to and dealing with emergency situations including health and safety issues, medical emergencies, and maintenance issues
- Managing the care and support planning functions to ensure tenants documentation is up to date and meets the standards required by CQC
- Ensuring needs and risk assessments are carried out effectively to produce robust care plans.
- Establishing and maintain excellent supportive relationship with tenants, their relatives and their wider support networks including other professionals.
What we are looking for: - Professional qualifications in Health & Social Care (Level 2 /3)
- Experience of working in a similar supervisory / management role within a care or housing environment
- Good knowledge of the care planning, risk assessments, CQC standards and inspection framework.
- Substantial experience of delivering care and support services to older people
- Strong commitment to Jewish Care’s values and providing an excellent customer experience
