The post holder will work as an integral member of the Corporate Nursing team and will ensure the delivery of, and provide assurance of, the standards of practice learning and professional education for the nursing profession. The post holder will be identified as a reference point for the wider organisation, for issues relating to nursing education and nursing development.
The post holder will line-manage the Practice Placement Facilitators within the team and will work closely alongside the AHP education and placement team.
The post holder will ensure close and effective working relationships with all clinical and operational managers within the organisation, and will be responsive to any concerns or escalations raised. The post holder will also be responsible for forming positive working relationships with external partners, including Canterbury Christchurch University and Greenwich University.

The post holder will be responsible for the management, direction, and development of the Nurse Education Team, including responsibility for identifying and co-ordinating opportunities and innovations for both pre-registration nursing students and nurses working within the organisation. The post holder will work with Corporate Nursing, Human Resources, and Improvement Team colleagues to ensure investment in education and training directly supports service needs and has clear and improved outcomes for service users.
The post holder will support the development and delivery of the Trust’s Nursing Strategy and Workforce Strategy in relation to education and training for qualified Nurses in order to meet their responsibilities in teaching, supporting, and assessing nursing students in practice.
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence andhave access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act2010).
