Everyone Active are looking for enthusiastic and energetic candidates to work towards their Leisure Team Member Level 2 apprenticeship over the course of 15 months. There are five key areas of work all leisure team members will cover; leisure and fitness operations, lifeguard duties, swimming teaching duties, gym instruction and leading group activities. You will act as a Lifeguard, Swimming Teacher, Gym Instructor and Group Activity Leader amongst other operational duties.

You will achieve your Level 2 in Fitness Instructing, Level 1&2 Swim Teaching & NPLQ Lifeguarding Qualifications as part of this apprenticeship.

Your duties will include:

- Provide exceptional customer service to all members

- Assisting with gym tours and inductions

- Covering Lifeguard positions

- Support the centre swim teaching team to deliver exceptional swimming lessons

- Adopting a customer service focussed approach to your responsibilities

- Showing members how to use the gym equipment and machines

- Creating personal exercise places for members

- Understanding Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment

- Support and motivate clients who take part in physical activity

- Safe and effective pool supervision

- Equipment setups safely and on time

- Effective communication with other team members

You will work a combination of Gym and Leisure side hours whilst working within the centre. Please be aware, this will also include working on the Reception Desk when required.

This is a full-time position, and you will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week on a shift basis at your designated centre. You will receive on-going training and benefit from free use of the gym and swimming pool

At Everyone Active you will work towards your L3 Community Sport and Health officer apprenticeship over the course of 12-18 Months.

Responsibilities will include developing and eventually leading physical and sporting activity programmes such as Basketball, climbing and the Balance Ability scheme. The apprentice will also assist in developing The Holiday Activity Programme, which are positive and enriching activities for young people receiving free school meals.

* To promote the values and vision of the organisation professionally in the role

*Develop, lead and deliver Priority local area (to identified needs) sports/ activities & wellbeing projects for groups

*Be able to undertake lone working I.e., one-to-one gym buddying system or fitness work

* Deliver inclusive activities to a high standard supporting the community across the centre.

* Achieve the company's customer service, customer feedback and research standards as laid out in EQMS consistently across.

* Ensure marketing activity is effective to maximise awareness and increase participation.

* Remain current with local strategies which may impact the Health & Wellbeing Development Plan and implement accordingly

*Develop and manage local contacts and partnerships that enhance and or enrich provision and support sharing of resources I.e., staffing, volunteers, venue and or project resources

*Promote the concept of 30 minutes of activity 5 times a week.

* Attend meetings as required

As a CSAO you will develop skills to scope, organise and coordinate the delivery of opportunities for local communities to get more participants physically active.
