The Trainee Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner posts are training positions. Progression into a permanent contract is subject to passing the course. Successful candidates will be expected to travel to Derby University to complete their one year training, commencing but the position will be based in Nottingham City/County. You will be required to have an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience. You will need to demonstrate an ability to motivate the team, show initiative, work as part of a team alongside a ward based Multi-Disciplinary Team working under the direction of a registered nurse. You will need planning and organisational skills to organise your day to day work tasks or activities to deliver care within the parameters of the patients care plan and give direction to band 2 staff members where appropriate. You will liaise closely with other health and social care professionals as well as with patients family and carers, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.
