Please confirm in your application that you meet the specified criteria.**** Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for full details of responsibilities The post holder will complete Occupational Therapy assessments underpinned by the Model of Human Occupation as well as other specialised assessment tools. The post holder will provide Occupational Therapy interventions underpinned by the Model of Human Occupation and the principles of recovery and enablement. The post holder will work under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist Advanced Practitioner. To collaborate as part of the multi-disciplinary team to provide Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention, reports and recommendations. The post holder will apply a level of understanding of the effects of chronic mental health difficulties on occupational performance and provide supportive information on lifestyle changes and adaptations to the service users social and physical environment. The post holder will work collaboratively with service users to promote access to vocational opportunities. The post holder will ensure that intervention plans will involve the service user and where appropriate the carer; collaboratively identifying, pursuing and reviewing goals in the context of care planning. The post holder will promote equality of outcome for service users that reflect their mental health needs and those of ethnicity, gender, culture, physical health and age. The post holder will monitor and evaluate interventions to measure progress using outcome measures. The post holder will provide leadership to STR workers within area of specialism and designated work area and undertake the supervision of Occupational Therapy students on practice placements after completion of preceptorship. *DVLA have a number ofreciprocalarrangements with overseas countries, for further information please visit the DVLA website

To provide specialist knowledge and advice to other agencies for the purposes of public protection. To provide written reports in respect of Mental Health Tribunals as required. To act as a social supervisor for those people who remain subject to Mental Health Act restrictions whilst living out of hospital. Take part in the evaluation of the care of individuals at review meetings, case conferences, ward rounds etc. To attend and contribute to team meetings, providing specialist professional advice and support to staff regarding the management of individual service users and their programmes of care. To provide specialist clinical advice across the Trust as required.To liaise with community statutory and non- statutory community and inpatient services.
