We have a great opportunity to work as an Area Security Officer for G4S, a leading global security and outsourcing group, specialising in outsourcing of business processes in sectors where security and safety risks are considered a strategic threat.
G4S is recruiting for an Area Security Officer to work in Slough.
The rate of pay is £13.20 per hour.
This is a full-time role, contracted at 42 hours per week. You will be working days only on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Your Time at Work
As an Area Security Officer at G4S, you are more than a Security Guard. You'll ensure the safety of our customers staff, their buildings, and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment. Other duties include:
- Fulfil the tasks of an RMC Operator including Security Monitoring - Incident Triage, incident response, forensics, and root cause analysis.
- Monitor security & building systems to ensure all highlighted areas of concern are managed in line with the IBX policies and procedures, including escalation.
- Generate reports, provide security improvement recommendations, and communicate security-related information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide feedback on changes to standard operating procedures, protocols, and documentation, including assessment-based findings and propositions for further system security enhancement.
- Work collaboratively with peer RMC Operators, recommending and helping drive improvements in processes and systems where required.
- Operator Duties - including access and egress of persons and vehicles remotely.
- Production of written ensuring compliance to client and company procedures are adhered to.
- CCTV Remote Access - Patrols
- Contribute to the physical protection of Sites.
- Assisting other areas of the Account as and where required .
- Alarm Monitoring - PSIM
- Access control - AMAG Systems
Our Perfect Worker
Our ideal Security Officer will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. A good IT knowledge is also key.
You must be flexible and available to work on a varied shift pattern which will include days, nights and weekends.
It would be a benefit to have some security experience and your SIA licence, however, it's not essential, as we provide full SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence training.
**Please note, you must have a full clean UK driving licence and your own transport**
