Overall Purposes of Job: To ensure that all products are introduced, manufactured, and verified to customer requirements and corrective actions are effectively implemented when non-conformances are found. This shall be done through product involvement, investigation, monitoring and audits.



Day to day duties



Conduct internal/supplier investigations to determine root cause using structured problem-solving techniques.

Actions are implemented and verified to prevent repeat concerns

To ensure all Quality system documentation is updated in line with corrective actions
Raise and submit Customer Concessions
Compile and manage Customer, Internal and Supplier 8D's.
Liaise with Suppliers and undertake Supplier visits/audits
Undertake Product, Process and QMS audits in line with schedule
Observe and comply with all aspects of the International Quality Systems
Observe and comply with Company Operating Procedures
Take ownership and responsibility for quality and be pro-active in the role of achieving the company target of 100% business quality and product conformance.
To support manufacturing in providing product to customers "On Time and In Full"
Implement and maintain visual management of processes and performance
Continuous improvement activities. Ensure Quality requirements are being followed.
To undertake any other duties as may be required within the scope of the post and participate as and when necessary, in organisational wide initiatives and projects.

About you;

Knowledge and experience of creating APQP, SPC, FMEA, PPAP and Control Plans
Understanding of Customer Product Quality expectations
Quality related KPI's (measured environment)
Ability to manage Suppliers regarding approval, rating and development
Good understanding and competent in leading 8D activity
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Familiar with CMM activity and ability to Interpret CMM reports including capability studies.
Body in White (BIW) Engineering or pressing experience
Experience within an IATF16949/ISO9100 environment
Experience within a QMS environment
MS Office Skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
Time management and planning skills
Driving License.

The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Quality Engineer to join our Quality Team. Supporting the team to deliver consistency in quality, you will be required to complete varying tasks on a day-to-day basis depending on the needs of the business. As a Junior Quality Engineer, you will be supporting and facilitating the internal audit process for example, as well as the non-conformance process. You will also be managing and filing important documentation.
Candidates must be good communicators, flexible with an excellent work ethic, and be prepared to work hard in a fast-paced environment.

Specifically, you will:
⦁ Filing and maintaining important QMS documentation, and distributing where necessary
⦁ Prepare or collate documentation to assist with internal and external audits
⦁ Support the Purchasing dept. in maintaining the approved supplier list
⦁ Completing Supplier Vendor Questionnaires
⦁ Helping to oversee the returns process through the business management system, and monitoring trends where possible
⦁ Support design engineers in managing the revision control process
⦁ Support the team in reducing scrap, rework, and quality escapes.
⦁ Contribute towards designing and maintaining packaging specifications
⦁ Contract review support
Other quality and / or administrative related tasks may be introduced once settled.

About you
Minimum two years experience in a quality related role.
The successful candidate should be proficient in both written and verbal communication. Organisation and good time management skills are also important, combined with good team working skills, as the successful candidate will be collaborating on administrative projects, developing new processes, communicating ideas and or delegating tasks.
