The duties set out below are relevant to the first 1-2 years of the role. These will develop as the individual grows through the Chartered Accountancy professional training programme.
Cash and Bank – posting of receipts and payments into Sage 200 and maintenance of daily and weekly bank reconciliations.
Payment processing – creation of e-banking file to facilitate processing of weekly payment run.
Credit Cards – processing and reconciliation of credit card transactions and receipts.
Subcontractors – weekly processing of subcontractor invoices, including exposure to CIS.
Sales Ledger – processing sales invoices from client valuations and retentions as well as through the Sales Order Processing functionality in Sage 200.
Intercompany – maintenance of intercompany balances across the group structure, including processing transactions, performing monthly account balance reconciliations, and processing payments to clear balances on a regular basis.
Group management charges – monthly calculation and processing journals into Sage 200.
Job Costing – production of job margin and cost reports for Operations teams and supporting in the analysis of this information.
ESG – supporting the group’s ESG strategy, through data collection and collaboration with other finance and non-finance colleagues.
Daily management of shared ledger email inboxes.
Assisting other members of the finance team on day-to-day duties and key projects as and when required.
Potential opportunity to support other areas of the business as and when required.
