Senior Finance Business Partner - Manchester City Centre Inside IR35

As a senior finance business partner, you'll play a vital role in the financial insight and strategy for Funeralcare, working with key functions across our organization and collaborating with your fellow finance business partners. There's a lot of change going on in our industry, so we'll look to you to have a keen understanding of funeral plans, pre-need, and transformation, as well as an awareness of the complexity of funeralcare regulation. If you can bring us the financial knowledge and great people skills that we need, we can offer you the chance to build a career with a business that always puts people at the heart of its strategy.

What you'll do

• Business partner Funeralcare and provide key strategic finance support to the business area and senior leaders, looking for opportunities to drive efficiencies and improve processes.

• Focus on supporting commercial decisions on the pre-need side of the business (funeral plans), which are financial products by nature; bringing an awareness of customer acquisition analysis and long-term value assessments.

• Work closely with FPAR colleagues around the assumptions for budgeting and forecasting, as well as working with the exec team to find opportunities that drive value.

• Act as the financial subject matter expert for Funeralcare opportunities.

• Translate complex data and problem statements into meaningful insights to help inform decision making and future actions.

• Act as a consultant to the business working with a wide range of teams, challenging, and influencing decisions where necessary.

• Mentor, coach, and support the development of other colleagues across Finance.

This role would suit people who have

• An accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, etc.)
• Insurance Distribution Model - understand the principles of the customer acquisition model.
• Sales/Marketing element.
• Insurance products - commercial finance business / direct /consumer acquisition.
• Commercial returns.
• Comfortable with operating at exec level and challenging execs.
