A niche Insurance Broker working in the charity sector has new opening to join their close-knit team in this interesting and varied role as Graduate Trainee Insurance Administrator.

This is a rare opportunity to join a small team with a low staff turnover and to work for an employer which encourages staff development.

This broker works with a long-established book of third sector clients, so the role involves no sales. Your duties will centre around claims oversight and policy administration, providing high quality customer service and assistance to colleagues including

• Answering incoming calls/emails
• Receiving claims, notifying insurers, and acting as an intermediary throughout the claims process.
• Preparing quarterly reports and sending to clients.
• Policy renewals, adjustments, and general policy administration.

To be considered you must be educated to degree level with sound written and verbal communication skills including an excellent telephone manor. You must have very high professional standard of work including thorough attention to detail and accuracy, and a consistent commitment to excellence. Candidates with degrees focusing on legal, business, insurance or financial services will be desirable however all backgrounds will be considered if you are able to display to right attributes to succeed.

Your new company
A small Management Company based in central Henley-on-Thames, is seeking a candidate with at least 4 years minimum Finance experience who is able to assist with bringing their accounts in-house and then acting as the main point of contact for Finance.
You will join a friendly, intimate working environment which, although informal, is highly focussed on delivering a best-in-class professional customer experience. Very flexible hours

Some of the duties will include:-

• Basic bookkeeping
• Assist with payments, invoices, reconciliations and managing outstanding payments
• Prepare and handle online filings with statutory authorities
• Complete quarterly VAT returns and assist in year-end accounting
• Basic CRM and database work
• All administration tasks to support the wider team

You will need:-

• At least 3-5 years of experience in administrative roles, preferably within finance or small-to-medium-sized companies.
• Experience with bookkeeping tasks, including VAT returns and assisting in year-end accounting.
• Familiarity with company secretarial matters such as filing with statutory authorities, maintaining corporate records, and liaising with solicitors.
• Familiarity with AML & KYC Procedures
• High proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications for preparing reports, tracking payments, and managing administrative tasks.

• Part qualified or QBE
• Experience of financial reporting
• You will be able to support with financial management.
• Confident communicator, written and verbal
• Ability to take complex problems and provide simple solutions
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• IT: EXCEL (essential)

• £34,000 - £43,000 annual salary
• Temp contract until June 2025
