As a Senior Radiographer at our Brentwood Hospital, you will work autonomously with specialist knowledge and skills to lead on the delivery of a high quality diagnostic imaging service through undertaking a wide / specialist range of radiographic examinations.

You hold a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification and be HCPC registered. With a working knowledge of IRMER, IRR and be able to undertake audits. Radiation Protection Supervisor training/qualification would be desirable.

As our Senior Radiographer, you will:

Clinical

• Perform radiological procedures as required, in accordance with department protocols and Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IRMER).

• Undertake specialist examinations within scope of practice.

Leadership

• Provide clinical leadership within a specialist field in Diagnostic Imaging, including some day-to-day supervision of staff within the department, including Induction, development and training, and input into recruitment and performance review.

• Ensure work is carried out efficiently and to agreed working practices and protocols.

Health and Safety

Your skills and background:

Essential:

• High Intensity Talking Therapies Qualification (Post Graduate Diploma)
• Full BABCP accreditation
• At least 2 years of working in a Talking Therapies Service as a Band 7 High Intensity Therapist
• Good clinical, analytical and judgement skills for health-related issues, able to draw a broad theoretical knowledge base in analysing high complex facts & situations to arrive at appropriate formulations.
• High level of planning & organisational skills to be able to plan & manage a complex workload.
• Ability to compare and select from a range of treatment options
• Ability to provide both brief and longer therapeutic interventions.
• Ability to work to agreed targets and monitor own work effectively

What we are looking for

Polaris Children's Services are looking for a Senior Young People's Health and Wellbeing Worker who will be responsible for providing therapeutic interventions, guidance and training to the services more complex young people, promoting the improvement of their emotional wellbeing and transition out of formal mental health services.

The role will involve working with young people virtually, on the phone or in a variety of venues across Essex, including their homes, schools/colleges or other community venues. This means that it is necessary for you to hold a UK driving license and be prepared to travel North and South of Essex, mileage is payable in line with our expenses policy.

You will be expected within your hours to hold a caseload of 12 referrals and to complete all administrative duties at home together with attending team meetings, training and supervision.
