The incumbent is involved in one or more recreational activities such as military or community center activities; youth activities; outdoor recreation; craft and hobby shops; athletics, fitness and sports programs; music and theater and/or other similar MCCS recreational services.

Provides oversight of activities and necessary services to authorized patrons, including general information on the use of equipment.  Provides information concerning facilities and operation. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Monitors and checks the security of premises. 

Fitness Attendants shall demonstrate a fundamental knowledge in the safe operation of fitness center equipment and facility operations, and first echelon fitness equipment maintenance and repair. 

May assist in maintaining routine reports and/or perform clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties as needed.  May operate a cash register, receive payments and make change.

Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. • Assists the Fitness Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility; leads and or supervises the operation during second shift of program operations and in the absence of the Fitness Manager.
• Assist in the publicizing sports facilities, programs and events by drafting articles for local newspapers and as instructed by supervisor coordinates with marketing for posters, flyers and other promotional material.
• Oversees the inventory of property; fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate.
• Instructs customers and monitors proper usage of equipment, as needed.

• Transport patients from hospital units to the operating room.
• Position patient for the specific surgical procedures according to established guidelines.
• Hand instruments to the surgeon during the procedure by anticipating the surgeon's needs.
• Select, assemble, and organize required supplies, equipment, and instruments for specific surgical procedures.
• Obtain supplies needed during surgery such as blood, drugs, solutions, instruments, and additional sterile supplies.
• Wash, disassemble, sterilize, and reassemble instruments after surgical procedure is complete.
• Assemble operating room carts according to scheduled surgical procedures.
• Clean operating room after surgical procedures.

This position is located in the Military Duty (AGR) Management Branch of the Support Personnel Management Office. The purpose of this position is to serve as the full-time health systems representative on all AGR Medical Department (AMEDD) related matters, and to function as a key assistant to the Military Personnel Management Specialist(MPMS) in administering the AGR medical program of the state on a day-to-day basis.

Performs work to manage health services activities, including plans and operations, managed care, human resource management, logistics management, patient administration, budgetary and fiscal management, medical manpower, medical facility management, biometrics, medical recruiting, and aeromedical evacuation. Work may include directing the hospital accreditation program and management improvement studies. Provides support to health care management officials by analyzing, evaluating, advising on and/or coordinating health care delivery systems and operations. Manages and performs public health activities and programs. Provides administrative oversight to the Preventive Health Assessment and Individual Medical Readiness Program and the related Occupational Health programs. The duties vary with the type of assignment and grade of the position.

Your new role

The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees by implementing and maintaining health and safety standards in compliance with legal requirements and company policies. The role involves risk assessments, safety audits, training, and promoting a culture of safety within the manufacturing facility.

You will be required to implement and strengthen H&S procedures.You will conduct Risk Assessments, identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks, safety Audits and Inspections, perform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

You will also carry out incident investigations to determine causes and recommend preventive measures. You will carry out training and education, develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees and assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures, and develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.

Full-time hours, days, Mon-Fri.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have NEBOSH Certification and have proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing / construction environment. You will have a strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices and be a strong communicator.
