Contract: Permanent

Salary: Grade F, £23,893-£25,979 per annum pro rata, pay award pending

Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 12 days which includes 5 in-service training (INSET) days and 7 additional days. The post-holder is required to work 2 days in each of the GCSE and A level results weeks during August. These are the day prior to each results day and each results day itself.

Liskeard School and Community College is seeking to appoint an Admissions and Student Information Co-ordinator to manage and administer our student admissions procedures. The successful candidate will be an organised, methodical individual with excellent communication skills. You will work closely with other members of the school team, local authority admissions team, other schools and parents in ensuring that all admission applications received from the local authority are managed effectively. You will also ensure the recording/updating of all student personal information and support for student data management through the administration of school data systems. This role will also help support our reception team as required.

We are looking for an excellent practitioner who is both creative and challenging in their teaching. They will be passionate and committed to ensuring pupils maximise their potential and achievement. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across our whole 11-16 age and ability range and as a middle leader will be well supported by our strong team of likeminded colleagues who are mutually supportive.

As a middle leader you will be expected to have experience in teaching across both KS3 & KS4. We currently teach 2 hours per fortnight at KS3, at KS4 there is 5 hours per fortnight for the GCSE option groups who currently follow the AQA specifications in Design & Technology - Product Design or Food Preparation and Nutrition. The popularity of these subjects has grown and there are healthy group sizes in both years 10 & 11. Group size at KS4 is approx. 20 pupils.

The department has been involved in STEM activities and also bake off and design competitions.

We have excellent training, support and professional development for all staff from Main Scale to UPS.
