Main Duties
Provide advice and guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks and ensure adoption and adherence to standards.

SSEN Transmissions Legal Team plays a crucial role in delivering key projects and supporting various business areas including commercial and construction, property and planning, and providing regulatory support. A typical day in the legal team may include experience of document drafting, negotiation, client meetings and providing advice and support to colleagues across SSEN Transmission, helping them to understand, minimise and mitigate legal risks.

What do I need?

Key Responsibilities:

Job Overview

You are required to provide safety and security to our customer's property, people and/or assets in line with the published Assignment Instructions, delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators. Main Duties

-            Use ASCONE to maintain the security of the site.

-            Primary role is to stay vigilant at SCO (Self Checkouts).

-            Deliver customer service to both staff and visitors.

-            Ensure the relevant reports are completed in order for accurate information to be recorded.

Training

For this role, you will be required to fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training, as well as undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Operations Manager. You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

-            Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.

-            Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage, whilst using common sense and initiative to ensure the situation does not become threatening.

-            To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.

-            Complete an accurate and detailed entry of any incidents that occur on the system provided on site.

You will lead a talented team of Information and Security Officers and Security Risk Advisors to drive forward the implementation of an ambitious Information Security Assurance, Governance and Risk Programme.

The Security Risk and Assurance team manages risk, provides security consultancy, ensures supply chain assurance, manages the Security Awareness programme develops security policies and the Information Security Management System. The team works closely with the Head of Security Assurance and teams across the Chief Digital Office to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and information systems across the organisation.

What do I need?

- Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex security solutions. Previous experience working with Operational Technologies would be advantageous.

- Expert knowledge of security frameworks, regulations, standards, and best practices, such as NIST, CAF, COBIT, ISO, NIS, GDPR, etc.

- Strong skills in security architecture, risk assessment, threat modelling and security testing.

- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to translate business requirements into security solutions.

- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF, or equivalent is highly desirable.

Previous experience in Enterprise Architecture and your proven ability to deliver EA value to senior stakeholders in organisations is essential; however, it will be your drive as an IT professional and your desire to make a positive contribution to the future of SSE, which will help ensure your success in this role.
