Job Overview:

Mitie is looking for Retail security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.



You must hold a current SIA licence or valid SIA certificates (licence can be provided) and a full 5-year checkable employment/education history.



Main duties:

-To deliver industry leading customer service

-To deter violence and public order offences

-To conduct patrols of the store

-Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss

-Liaise with the store management teams

-Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store

-To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety

This role will be a wide-ranging role supporting the General Counsel by providing a broad range of commercial advice to senior stakeholders across the business.

Your new role
You will lead on drafting and negotiating commercial, IT and cyber contracts and agreements and be able to provide advice on data protection and protecting intellectual property rights. You will be providing quality and timely legal advice and legal support to a range of stakeholders within this growing business. You will have responsibility for managing and updating the businesses' standard commercial documentation and help ensure the business complies with sector-specific regulations, ensuring risk mitigation support in all key business functions.

What you'll need to succeed
Our client are looking for a UK qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with at least 2+ years PQE, ideally with experience in-house, or gained at a high quality national or regional law firm with exposure to advising clients in the utilities, energy and/or technology sectors. You will be a first-class technical lawyer with a strong foundation in commercial contracts, ideally with knowledge of managing large scale IT and/or cyber projects.
You will be confident handling your own caseload of commercial work and supporting your wider team.

Your Time at Work
As a Security Officer, you are more than a Security Guard. You'll ensure the safety of our customers staff, their buildings, and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment. Other duties include:

- Crowd control at peak times
- Ensuring that all customers are safe on-site
- Managing situations with people under the influence of alcohol
- Patrols of the site
- Adhering to customer's security standards
- Dealing with any security breaches or medical incidents
- Liaising with the relevant authorities, if required

Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. Good IT knowledge is also key.

It would be a benefit to have some security experience and your SIA licence, however it's not essential, as we provide full SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence training.
