We are recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician to join our Maintenance team

This role will involve general repairs and planned maintenance to the site and equipment. A background in building services or facilities with knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning or refrigeration would be beneficial in this role.

The role will suit someone who comes from a similar fast paced 24/7 environment.

Occasional call-outs and weekend work will be required when necessary

To support the RSC Maintenance Engineer with general maintenance and repair throughout the Regional Service Centre (RSC), ensuring that downtime is kept to a minimum and it remains a high quality environment for staff and visitors alike – this will include working at weekends when required to avoid impacting the operation. Must have British standard electrical qualifications. To ensure RSC meets legal compliance for maintenance To maintain maintenance engineers records in regard to building and equipment maintenance on file at the RSC – ensuring records are kept in an orderly way The effective management of third party service contracts. To provide support to other RSC’s as required.

Essential Experience

• Full driving licence

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for:

Carrying out pre-planned and reactive maintenance on Mechanical assets including Pumps, cranes, hydraulic systems, vent systems and compressors.
Ensuring maintenance plans and targets are achieved safely and within environmental parameters of the power station.
Carry out analysis and fault diagnosis of plant and communicate findings back to the Team Leader or Maintenance Engineer.
Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices.
Be authorised to hold safety documents and work to prescribed radiological, electrical and mechanical safety rules within radiological and contaminated areas.
Follow prescribed work instructions, check sheets and other QA. documentation to ensure compliance is maintained at all times.
Ability to read and understand a full range of engineering drawings.

Qualifications and Experience:

(Essential) Appropriate technical qualification e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC ONC, (NQF Level 3).
(Essential) Relevant experience in technical area.
(Desirable) Experience of working in the Nuclear Industry.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Position requirements are typical for a manufacturing plant-based work environment with significant shop floor exposure.  Routine lifting, sitting, standing, walking and bending is required. Specific PPE requirements, including clean room gowning, is frequently required. There are no unusual mental requirements for this position.

ROLE SUMMARY

 Position is responsible for:

• Performing corrective maintenance activities on equipment in support of the continuous operation of the Sanford facility, including manufacturing, utilities and quality control equipment/systems
• Troubleshooting and repair of GMP equipment and systems
• Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on GMP equipment

Position may require specialized skills and knowledge such as welding, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, pipe fitting, etc.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Position requirements are typical for a manufacturing plant-based work environment with significant shop floor exposure.  Routine lifting, sitting, standing, walking and bending is required. Specific PPE requirements, including clean room gowning, is frequently required. There are no unusual mental requirements for this position.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Schedule is a mixture of day shift (M-F, 8 hrs) and rotating 12 hour shifts that include night and weekend work. Alternative work schedules may be required to support specific project-related activities.
