Maintenance and Projects Manager - Nelson Site - Competitive Annual Salary
About the role
You will be responsible for managing the maintenance and facilities projects and capex within a growing business, along with day-to-day activities. Utilising your expertise, you will liaise with key stakeholders to continually improve site equipment, food and safety standards and associated facilities across Wellocks’ site nationwide.
What you will do:
• Manage the project and capex plan within budget and timescale commitments.
• Manage contractors accordingly in line with CDM legislation and project requirements.
• Against a time-defined plan, overhaul all equipment identifying repair or replace requirements.
• Ensure building and fabrication of all sites is to the requirement standard and develop plans to maintain and continually improve.
• Manage Insurance inspections across all sites and depots.
• Be accountable for waste management and associated yard area, working with key stakeholders to maximise sustainability.
• Working closely with Technical and Health and Safety teams to identify improvement opportunities and support our ‘audit ready’ approach.
• Ensure that all health and safety, hygiene and security standards are maintained to the highest level in your areas of responsibility.
• Ensure that all applicable HSE and legislation requirements are understood within the team and adhered to.
• Management of the facilities team, developing them to broaden knowledge, responsibilities and enable succession planning.
• Play a key role within the Leadership Team and deliver priorities in accordance with the business strategy.
• Working with key stakeholders to maximise efficiencies, identifying opportunities to improve processes, inter-department effectiveness, product flow and quality output.
What you will need:
• Project and/or capex management experience.
• Experience in a similar management role.
• Experience in FMCG environment.
• Relevant experience in machinery and continuous improvement techniques, warehouse design and layout, planned/preventative maintenance, and buildings and service maintenance.
• Department budget writing and management knowledge.
