About the Job

You will work in a small, 3-member micro-team with a Business Developer who negotiates prices and take care of the overall commercial relation with the supplier and a Supply Planner who handles logistics. As part of the annual action plan, you will be responsible for the constant improvement of the quality of IKEA products as well as the production process and workflow through tools such as 5S, Lean, and machine capacity utilization. All with the aim of reducing production inefficiencies, in terms of sustainability and business ethics. You will also perform:

• Developing relationships with suppliers – the micro-team regularly travels to the field in order to understand and solve issues firsthand, we see production from the ground up, help with the implementation of action plans, and cooperate in audit processes,
• Data analytics – this will be a primary function and most of your office-hours.
• Operation – helping suppliers with entering up-to-date product documents into the system to secure compliance, resolving claims from A to Z, regular communication with suppliers (emails, calls), meetings with management and the team

Member of  CLT representing P&S

• Participates as a full decision-making member of the CLT in the formulation of country strategy; business policy and objectives acting as the senior P&S leader in the country
• Contribute to the growth of the country business through support in implementing supply chain, sourcing and production and seeds operations concepts and strategies that are aligned to and support the overall business strategy
• Advise the CLT on the impact of strategic and day-to-day supply and business decisions and propose actions to sustain and improve business performance
• Ensure QA, and HSE standards are maintained and followed in country
• Problem solve P&S or related issues regardless of root cause and liaise with the wider P&S to the benefit of country priorities

Directly lead Supply team

• Create and manage a robust and cost effective Supply team within the Country, with specific emphasis on demand planning, security and replenishment of supply, total cost of supply, inventory and risk management, S&OP, logistics, order management and related Supply activities.
• Ensure a proactive review of Country demand inputs with Commercial and key stakeholders, proactively identifying and resolving potential supply issues.
• Lead the operation of the Country S&OP processes and support of the commercial review process
• Co-ordinate Budget and Financial Plan preparation (ensuring realism & consistency) based on thorough assessments of forecast, economics, products, opportunities and resources.
• Ensure the business’s assets are safeguarded by the development and effective operation of DOA and procedural supply controls.
• Manage the annual inputs to the standard costing and budget setting processes.
• Ensure country assets operate to Global Supply standards and meet all applicable legislative requirements.
• Meets the requirements of the company and external regulatory bodies for the provision of supply and financial information both at a local and international level.
• Ensure systems are in place to track compliance on Governance issues, e.g. Code of Conduct, Business Practices and other directives provided by Syngenta Regional and Global management.
• Represents the business on supply matters, internally and with external bodies (e.g. Auditors, Tax authorities, contractors, customers etc.) to meet statutory and legal requirements.
• Monitor and challenge supply performance against Country / Regional / Global KPI’s.

 The Production Planning Control Team Leader prepares business related analyses and research for Supply Chain, especially in Planning.  The individual prepares forecasts, analyzes trends related to Planning and uses the analyses to compile and prepare reports, graphs and charts of data and/or ensure efficiency.  

• Plan sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations relating to specific portion of the product for guidance of production workers. 

• Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications. May develop the master schedule for production or manufacturing.

The incumbent will be expected to coordinate the whole supply chain planning and production planning workflow in the respective product line(s) including sale and operations plans (inventory planning, capacity planning including out-sourcing strategy) and facilitate the actual implementation with the operations teams; and assist the bench marking and sharing best practices in the Regional/Global operations network’s in order to continuously improving the capability of the business. The incumbent will also be recognized for supply chain planning knowledge, deep understanding of the whole business process and ability to interface with team members and business partners.

Key responsibilities:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, Furniture – Vietnam to join our team. In this role, you will provide manufacturing feedback to the U.S. Design & Quality Engineering team. The position requires communicating design and performance expectations to vendors to ensure successful product quality outcomes, as well as communicating test plan expectations. The role must ensure quality, safety, aesthetics, durability and cost effectiveness for Lakeshore furniture. Applicants should have extensive experience with all furniture products, materials and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate has experience with plastics and soft goods, as well as experience with CAD drawings, BOM, specs and tolerances.

• Support product development phases to ensure furniture meets requirements 
• Own and drive preproduction and production phases 
• Collaborate with vendors to develop manufacturing processes, tooling and techniques to ensure consistent and efficient product execution

Production Engineer will together with a team:

• Secure Quality Assurance including supporting for implementing process control for key processes in production
• Perform product audits and production risk assessments at supplier
