Role Purpose: Primarily responsible for leading strategy and program development and collaborating with line managers to implement internal communication and employee engagement programs to support the achievement of the Company’s business objectives and develop a Company culture that remains faithful to the Company’s vision, mission, and values.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Strategy Development and Alignment a. Creates a framework and leads the development of a clear internal communication and employee engagement strategy in collaboration with line management and ensures alignment to the strategic direction and overall business objectives of First Gen and FPH.
2. Program Development and Implementation a. Leads the development of internal communication and employee engagement policies and annual programs to support the business and human capital agenda of the Company. These programs may include, but are not limited to, the following
• Communication of business direction, strategies and priorities
• Periodic top-down business updates and performance results • Company mission, vision and values
• Business information to enable employees to perform their work effectively • Company policies and procedures
• Organizational milestones and changes that impact employees directly b. In partnership with the bigger HR organization and line management, develops and supports the execution of an annual calendar of high-impact communication activities, initiatives, and events that engage employees, e.g. such as town halls, national conferences, leader messages, etc. c. Develops diverse communication channels, e.g. intranet, email, social media etc. that are appropriate to the nature and context of the communication.
3. Employer Branding, Messaging and Content Development
a. Participates in the development of the employer brand using subject matter expertise and deploying best practices in messaging and content development .
b. Prepares communication materials (e-newsletter, infographics, short videos, digital shows, and others) and ensures innovative, engaging and consistent messaging across the organization and full alignment to company values and distinct culture.
4. Conduct of Annual Communication Survey
a. Contributes to increasing employee engagement by conducting the annual communication survey and providing valuable feedback and inputs to future plans and program execution.
5. Functional Guidance and Partnership with Line Management a. Serves as a resource person and partners with line managers in different functions and business units to provide them the tools and guidance in improving their internal communication effectiveness, supporting business priorities and promoting company culture and values.
