We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer as the customer facing, technical resource supporting Emerging Internet Content Providers, Data Center Operators, and Content Delivery Operators for the United States. The ideal candidate requires a strong technical background with an understanding of optical products, routing/switching products, software, and customer applications. In addition, the candidate should possess the ability to position Ciena’s leadership in networking hardware and software solutions as well as how Ciena’s offerings differentiate against the competition. This position is based in the United States.

Responsibilities:

·  Perform technical oversight, including on-site customer engagements, support customer and internal architectural discussions, and requirements definition into the engineering organizations.

·  Ability to produce written proposals, network engineering designs/documentation, as well as quoting the solutions. 

·  Be able to create, communicate and articulate the value of solutions to customers.

·  Understand the customer’s network, software applications, and architecture. 

·  Work with both internal and external organizations to drive solutions for our customers.

The Sales Executive, Vertical Form Fill & Seal and Flow Wrapping grows BW Flexible Systems business in assigned territories by securing new machinery orders.  This position is responsible for developing and implementing business strategies that will continue to expand the client base and foster customer loyalty within the territory.  The Sales Executive will create and implement both short- and long-term sales objectives and strategies that will meet the needs of the customer, increase market share, increase machinery orders and maximize product servicing. This is accomplished by working within the global corporate structure of BW Flexible Systems, the wider Barry-Wehmiller Packaging Platform, and with our customers in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri.  This position also works with the sales leadership team to research markets and establish strategic directions for growing BW Flexible Systems sales with named key accounts in target industries within North America.  The VFFS & Flow Wrapping Sales Executive encourages others to discover, develop and apply their talents to reach their full potential and actively engages in our Lean journey by building and acting on continuous improvement and development opportunities. 

RESPONSIBLITIES

• Secure new machinery orders for BW Flexible Systems VFFS and Flow
  Wrapping machinery, feed systems, and turn-key integrated packaging line projects that meet or exceed assigned quota

• Responsible for key accounts within a specific target industry, such as Bakery, Confectionary, Pharma/Medical, Non-food, Frozen, Cheese or Protein

• Maintain contact with current and potential customers by building strong relationships and supplying product information to increase the likelihood of future sales orders

• Research regional, client and industry information, analyze industry and client specific data and create and execute account specific strategies and tactics.

• Provide detailed information regarding customer requirements, specifications, applications, etc. so accurate and timely sales proposals are produced for the customer when requested

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The Opportunity
Adobe is looking for a Sales Account Executive who has high energy, is a self-starter with a passion for winning and a proven track record delivering consistent sales results that rank in the top 10%. The ideal candidate has software solutions sales experience selling complex solutions into companies ranging in all a sizes. This sales professional will work an assigned territory cross-selling Adobe’s Digital Foundations product solutions to Adobe’s existing customer base.
This role will call on the “C” suite within companies into Greenfield Solution Led accounts $100M-$10B+ in annual revenue. This savvy seller thrives being on the front lines, generating leads, prospecting, selling in a consultative manner, closing deals, and winning! The perfect candidate will achieve this through solution selling capabilities through our virtual selling resources. You will be responsible for navigating through the customer’s marketing, IT, legal and procurement organization. You and your available Adobe resources will guide and assist customers in achieving a successful start with Adobe and help them expand the value realized from our solution. This is a key role at one of the hottest technology companies in Silicon Valley and the entire world. The right fit will possess extreme OWNERSHIP around their success and the success of the business. They have GRIT and are not afraid to “grind it out” in the most challenging situations. Finally, the ideal candidate has great CHARACTER with high integrity and loves contributing and working in a TEAM culture.
 

What you’ll do:

• Work closely with their ecosystem including Business Development Manager, Marketing and Partners to generate pipeline. They will then qualify, develop, and close new and existing opportunities for Adobe’s Content Supply Chain products resulting in $25k-$1m+ in ARR
• Navigate deal cycles 2-6+ months in length
• Negotiate business terms with line-of-business, senior management, and C-level executives
• Drive specific product revenue in the assigned territory
• Build strong, lasting relationships with key partners by understanding their needs and objectives
• Acquire and maintain a proven understanding of the complete capabilities of our solution offerings and that of the competition
• Convert customer problems into valuable sales solutions
• Maintain an active pipeline of forecasted opportunities to meet quota objectives
• Build, develop, manage, and execute a Territory Plan that serves as a success roadmap to help ensure expected results are delivered in a well thought-out, directed manner
• Manage, coordinate, collaborate and work with various cross-functional groups within Adobe (Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance and Engineering) to successfully manage the entire sales cycle; open to close

What you need to succeed:

• 3+ years of on-quota sales experience selling Digital Experience Platforms or 4+ years sales experience in selling sophisticated SaaS solutions.
• Travel as needed to close business (~25%)
• Ability to forge and maintain good business relationships
• Demonstrated analytical and digital literacy including use of sales automated tools & CRM
• Must have strong skills in the following: communication, presentation skills, negotiation, organizational and attention to detail
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment, collaborating closely with others
• Creative problem-solving approach
• Previous experience navigating lengthy and complex sales cycles using a value-based selling methodology
• Four-year university/college degree or equivalent experience required

About the role:

We are seeking high-energy, sales driven professionals to guide prospects to Blackbaud’s proven software solutions. You will serve as key contact and liaison between Blackbaud and potential clients during the initial sales process by quickly closing key plays driven by both inbound and outbound leads. Ideal candidates should be results-oriented, possess outstanding customer facing skills and have a proven track record selling CRM/SaaS or Fundraising software solutions from the ground up within a high velocity selling environment.

• Quickly qualifying, pursuing and closing key plays
• Establishing and maintaining key account relationships
• Serving as prospective clients' main point of contact and working with other departments as needed to provide answers and service

The Multi Solution Sales Executive (MSSE) is responsible for defining strategy and identifying large transactions. The MSSE participates in orchestrating complex, multi-tier sales processes, negotiating contract and pricing, and will be managing the full sales cycle via solution selling techniques.

What you’ll do

• You will work on about 10 enterprise accounts and develop them strategically across the entire DX Portfolio. In your role, you will develop Account and GTM plans together with the Account Team, working closely with Marketing and business partners to build pipeline for future opportunities

• The MSSE is going to develop and maintain relationships at the “C” and “VP” levels, and develop compelling value propositions based on return on investment, cost/benefit analysis & business understanding

• This role will complete the major steps of the sales process, including solutioning, value proposition, pricing, negotiations and closing. This is especially true for Multi Solution Opportunities while Solution Oriented Projects are still being driven and developed by the account team to make sure the outcome is maximized and the forces will aligned

• We are looking for a leader that will orchestrate a selling team consisting of multiple single solutions sales executives, pre-sales, strategy and professional services

What you need to succeed

• Several years of experience in complex Software (Solutions) Selling within the tech-industry, ideally with industry specific background

• Demonstrated sales track record with enterprise companies of all sizes

• Understanding of industry dynamics, industry challenges, related cost drivers, and customer needs

• Understanding of broad competitive solution footprints for the Digital Experience marketplace is helpful

• Ability to develop and use relationships with senior industry leaders and key influencers

• Be able to work with prospects to understand their business requirements and value models

• Ability to quickly adapt and then clearly articulate value propositions

• Ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively bringing in the right resources to bear at the right stage in the selling process

• Proficient networker with a hunter mentality and excellent communication/presentation skills

• Fluent German and English language skills are mandatory
