Location: Homebased - Covering Greater Anglia (Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire & Norfolk)

Role Overview

To support the Senior Area Manager with generating specification opportunities via developing strong relationships with Roofing Contractors, Local Authority Organisations and Main Contractor Clients.

Develop and maintain positive day-to-day relationships with existing and new clients including contractors and internal colleagues to ensure that an outstanding service is provided. Work closely with your line manager and the Technical department in order to assist, and where required, lead on surveying projects and writing condition reports and specifications. To maintain regular and effective liaison with existing clients in order to understand their needs and drivers and exceed expectations and to maximise business opportunity through specification sales and networking.

Key Responsibilities:
To identify new clients and develop a strategy to maximise opportunities including arranging and / or delivering CPD seminars.
To ensure that you maintain a positive and proactive level of communication with the existing contractor network, including regular meetings, to engender mutual trust and understanding.
To seek and create new business by developing a clear understanding of market sector opportunity in your area and prioritising specifying clients within these sectors.
To ensure that all relevant market information is shared with your line manager and agreed strategy is acted upon.
To ensure all projects are tracked throughout the design and procurement stage to maximise conversion ratio.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, to act as Project Manager taking overall responsibility and ownership for projects, from conception to completion.
To manage and update client and contractor records on the company database.
To continuously develop and demonstrate your technical competence and understanding via your reports, specifications, and client interaction.
Candidate:

Our Client is looking for someone who has some experience of working in the Construction Material/Built environment that has worked within a Technical Sales role previously. If you have Specification route-to-market knowledge or surveying experience, that would be ideal (though not essential). Experience of developing detailed written specifications and reports would be ideal. They can offer leading Industry training to the successful candidate to help you fully integrate into your role.

What experience transfers well into this role?

If you have experience in Estimating, Surveying, Technical Sales, Technical Administration or relatable experience that has been gained in a Specification/Project led role, then this would be a great role for you

We are recruiting a Deputy Bar Manager, with an additional focus on Marketing and growing the business, to join our client in Lincoln, on a Permanent basis.

Your core focuses will be:
- Deputising for the General Manager
- Serving customers with a smile and to set customer service, hygiene, Health & Safety and efficiency standards
- Taking ownership and responsibility for the Marketing of the business

Day to day, your duties will vary but will largely involve:
- Leading the small team by example
- Serving customers with a friendly and accommodating attitude, working in line with company standards, often working alone
- Improving public awareness of the establishment, planning events such as quizzes, exhibitions, tasters etc
- Creating new community relationships, or building on relationships with the local community that have been established by the company
- Manage social media platforms
- Target marketing at particular sectors in line with company budgets agreed with the Director

- Stock management, changing and cleaning of beer lines
- Regular cleaning and upkeep of the premises
- Maintenance of company standards on customer service, hygiene, Health & Safety and efficiency

The role would be roughly 75% as Duty Bar Manager and 25% spent on the Marketing side.

PLEASE NOTE the changing of beer barrels will be manual and very heavy.

The company will require from you:
- Driving Licence and own transport for business use (in order to collect local deliveries, mileage paid and any additional insurance premium)
- Bar experience
- Media & Marketing skills

Working hours will be 35-40hrs per week, rota to be agreed with the General Manager. Your 'Marketing' hours could be worked from home if you wish.

Annual salary £24-28k, open to discussion.
