About this job

The Logistics Operations Analyst will support all processes and functions of load planning and freight movement.  The Analyst will process and plan shipments and optimize the Logistics network using Oracle Transportation Manager System (OTM).  This role will also review Logistics network data, and work with the Sr. Analyst and Manager to build processes to manage data more effectively and respond to internal and external customer inquiries.  The Analyst will also provide visibility to management and the customer by tracking, conducting process over-sight, auditing, researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions. The Analyst will communicate effectively with internal and external customers, both written and verbal.  This person will collaborate with cross functional teams to provide performance feedback on transportation to Procurement.

What you will do – Essential Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, track, and direct the transportation of vehicles throughout the CarMax network.

• Oversee and coordinate daily review of the Logistics network, identify opportunities and provide Logistics Managers with options of resolution.

• Partner with development team on system recommendations to enhance operational processes.

• Utilize Oracle Transportation Management System (OTM) to maximize loads and support fleet planning.

• Actively learn all functions of Corporate Logistics.

Qualifications and Requirements

We are looking for a Supply Chain Logistics Intern  to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies.  This role will report to VP of  Global Commodity Management and based in San Jose, CA.  This is a fully on-site, in office role.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the management of sourcing, procurement and inventory of Bloom’s commodities
• Conducting market research
• Analyzing supplier capabilities
• Create and identify process improvements
• Use new AI tools to automate processes for commodity managers
• Support cross functional teams by participating in supplier evaluations.

Skills and Experience:

• Enrollment at a top university; minimum 3.0 GPA
• Pursuing a degree in data science, supply chain management
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Data management, and data analysis skills
• Experience with using AI or ML tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to take direction and multi-task
• Efficient, effective and well organized
• Respectful, open, collaborative and transparent inter-personal skills; team-work oriented
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat Premium
