In this vital role, the Oncology Senior Manager of Advocacy Relations at Amgen is responsible for building and leading long-term relationships with global advocacy groups and contributes to elevating Amgen as a trusted partner of choice for patients and patient organizations. Key Responsibilities

• Booking tastings directly with stores based on direction from AWC Sales Representatives; sending results from tastings to AWC Sales Representatives; keeping up to date on AWC portfolio & product info

• Greeting customers promptly and courteously; providing samples & product information on featured products; guiding customers to other wines they might enjoy from the AWC portfolio

• Set-up and tear down of tasting booth; cleaning up workspace upon tasting completion; getting sales results of featured products from tastings

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as an Arterra Ambassador and build in-store relationships as such

• Maintain consistent communication with the territory Sales Representative & Sales Manager regarding changes in buyer preferences, out of stock inventory concerns/situations encountered and market intelligence

Key Job Functions:

The Senior Manager’s main responsibility will be to inform and help shape provincial policy related to health, drug policy and access, and life sciences strategy in a way that advances patient access to Amgen’s medicines. This role is also responsible for public payer engagement related to Amgen’s new and existing portfolio, to ensure business continuity and growth in a timely and responsive manger. The Senior Manager represents Amgen Canada in building relationships with priority government officials, including elected officials and their staff, provincial cancer and health agencies, provincial drug programs, and industry and trade associations.

More specific responsibilities include the following:

• Work with cross-functional partners to advance Amgen’s market access objectives with public payers and provincial accounts in BC and AB.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with Provincial Drug Plans , Cancer Agencies, Public Health Agencies and other key accounts to maintain and grow Amgen’s business
• Build strategic relationships internally and externally, and enable the right customer connections to achieve business objectives

Specialty Account Manager, Referral

The Referral (SAM) will work strategically and collaboratively across the existing sales teams to uncover unmet needs in the uncontrolled gout patient population that exists outside of Rheumatology and Nephrology to enhance the current business in markets where we have significant presence of KRYSTEXXA® advocates as well as highly efficient centers of excellence. The Referral (SAM) is also responsible for providing account management support to accounts within a specific geography in the PCP, Podiatry, and Orthopedic marketplace with a focus on issues specific to patient identification, disease state education, and referrals to local Rheumatologists and Nephrologist.

• Collaborate with 2-3 Specialty Account Managers in the Rheumatology and Nephrology sales teams to identify appropriate referral patients in Podiatry, Primary Care, and Orthopedics near current KRYSTEXXA® advocates and centers of excellence.
• Develops a comprehensive and effective territory business plan aimed at achieving and exceeding annual sales goals established by commercial leadership.
• Promote Disease State awareness and value of product to target customers.
• Promote the identification of appropriate patient types for referral to treatment.
• Regularly communicate progress with SAM/ASD.
• Promotes KRYSTEXXA® within approved labeling in a comprehensive, fair, and ethical manner that is consistent with industry specific and corporate legal and regulatory guidelines.
• Develops strong customer relationships by better understanding the customer’s needs and goals and communicating those needs and goals to other team members.
• Consistently meets or exceeds corporate sales goals.
