This is a non-deanery post, so is not recognised for specialty training, but is intended to fill a vacancy within the NNUH T&O Trainee rota. Consequently, this post is ideal for those who are committed to a career in Trauma & Orthopaedics, and are looking for ST6-8 level experience. With experience inall specialties in Trauma and Orthopaedics, it would suit a candidate looking for this experience specifically for their training requirements. You would be offered similar training opportunities to the specialty trainees, including access to regional teaching and participation in local audit and research opportunities.

The unit admits large numbers of elective and emergency patients per day and thus will offer you a wealth of experience and training in all aspects of Trauma & Orthopaedics, particularly general Orthopaedic trauma, upper limb and paediatric orthopaedics. You will work closely with our senior clinical teams and benefit from their experience and knowledge allowing you to expand your own clinical experience every day, with opportunities to bolster your portfolio for the next round of the national selection process.



In general, the appointed individuals will be expected to work in fracture and elective clinics, trauma and elective operating lists and care for patients on the ward (working effectively with junior members of the team such as Core and Foundation trainees, alongside other HCPs, such as Specialist Nurse Practitioners).

Whilst this post is not recognised for training nor Deanery approved, an Educational Supervisor will be allocated to the fellow.

We are looking for a support clerk to join our busy team supporting all functions. The post holder will be required to undertake a variety of tasks depending on the priorities of the team. They must be able to work to standard processes and deadlines and have a flexible approach at all times,

The post holder must have good communication skills and will be required to speak to both internal and external people including companies and individuals.

· Request the set up of new suppliers / customers in Oracle seeking to ensure no duplicates are requested and all record information is complete

· Assist in the redirection of non PO invoices receive, code and forward to most appropriate staff for coding (if not already completed) and approval, or return to service provider if the invoices should be matched to a purchase order

· Assist requisitioners / buyers in the resolutions of queries relating to all types of invoices

· Provide suppliers with information to ensure they are invoicing in the most efficient manner

· Input sales order requests in accordance with Trust policies and Oracle protocols

· Input receipts for all income received by Trust either via finance or other departments

· Respond to telephone queries in a professional manner updating systems as appropriate

· Management of generic email boxes to ensure queries are directed to the correct person or Trust action is undertaken as appropriate.

The Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital, NNUH, is seeking one substantive 10PA consultant in paediatric respiratory medicine. The successful appointee will help shape the developments of this well-established unit and support the East of England CF network and regional respiratory services. Thepost comprises of 10PA of which 1.5 SPA and 8.5PAs of clinical work.The clinical work will include specialized cystic fibrosis and respiratory work.

We encourage applicants who have completed their national sub-speciality grid/ equivalent training (special interest) in paediatric respiratory medicine.

The successful applicant will work with colleagues in paediatric respiratory medicine, paediatric medicine, surgery, and neonatology to provide respiratory support to inpatients and outpatients in the Jenny Lind Children Hospital. They will collaborate with colleagues at CUH to develop closer clinical, research and training links, as lead centres within the regional Paediatric Respiratory and Cystic Fibrosis services. NNUH is a recognised specialist centre for Cystic Fibrosis.

The Acute paediatrics and paediatric medicine on-call are delivered by a team of consultants working across children’s emergency department, children’s assessment unit and inpatient wards.



It is anticipated that with regional development the post will evolve and subject to job planning agreement, developments could include incorporating dedicated research PAs, alongside the potential to be the lead role for Respiratory or Cystic Fibrosis at NNUH and educational supervision responsibilities.
