About the Role
We are looking for an Advisor to provide residents with help, advice and information about Council, non-Council Services and related services via the telephone, email. To resolve and record customer enquiries and where required to signpost or pass on (via workflow) enquiries which require specialist officers. This company is seeking a Personal Advisor to join their Cared For Children - Step Ahead Service in Rochdale. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice, support and guidance to young people preparing to leave care. The Personal Advisor will play a key role in supporting young people with their transition to adulthood, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with them to ensure they have positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Meet the responsibilities of the Local Authority for young people 16 years and over who have entitlement under the Children Leaving Care Act (2000)
• Deliver high quality support for young people, managing existing and future risks through Pathway Plan assessments
• Create plans which ensure the individual needs and strengths of young people are appropriately considered
• Assist young people to engage with support services provided by both statutory and voluntary agencies
• Provide advice and expertise to promote the service and represent the rights and needs of young people
