• Calculate pension benefits and prepare statements of entitlements resulting from various events (termination of employment, retirement, death, divorce, transfer, etc.) for members of pension plans

• Update and manage client’s databases

• Prepare annual statements for active and inactive members

• Calculate pension adjustments (PA) and pension adjustment reversals (PAR)

• Prepare annual information returns for submission to governmental authorities

• Work in collaboration with professionals to meet the needs of our clients and their employees

• Participate in the continuous improvements of systems and procedures

• Act as a resource person for clients and their employees on plan benefits and other administration processes

• Understand the provisions of the plans and the various applicable laws

What you need to have: 

• Completion of one (1) year towards a bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, administration or a related field when internship begins

• Superior analytical skills and working knowledge of Excel and others MS-Office software programs.

The Field Sales Officer is an intermediate position responsible for providing customer service assistance and meeting sales targets for financial products and services within their assigned district or location, in coordination with the broader Consumer Sales team. The overall objective is to utilize a wide range of product knowledge to build relationships with clients in order to recognize which financial products and services meet their needs.

Job Description: Structural Analysis (FEA) Intern

Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a Structural Analysis (FEA) to join its world class team.  This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies.

Location: This position will be based in San Jose, CA

Compensation: This is a paid internship

Start Date: Flexible – This is a FULL TIME 10-12 week summer internship

Role and Responsibilities:

Candidates must have a background in one or more of the following requirements:

• Thermo-structural analysis
  • Assist in solving the mechanical design problems related to high temperature applications using the FEA tools
  • Able to validate the simulations using hand calculations for sanity checks
• Grid Generation, Model setup and solving:
  • Understanding of how to setup and solve non-linear FE analysis problems using ABAQUS and Hypermesh tools

Skills and Experience:

• Strong understanding of fundamentals of the strength of materials
• Exposure to FEA tools such as ABAQUS\HYPERMESH
• Python programming and Scripting is advantageous
• Very good communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Comfortable working in teams
• Work experience in the process industry is a plus but is not required.
• Graduate Education in:

• Pursuing a master’s degree in marketing or an MBA and are successfully maintaining an above average GPA, preferably 3.0 or higher

• Ability to understand fuel cell technology, microgrids and the macro energy landscape

• Working knowledge of PC business software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Highly motivated and a self-starter

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• This internship is scheduled to begin June 2024 and end on approximately August 2024
