The CIBC Summer Internship Program is designed to offer great work experience to complement students’ classroom training and career goals. CIBC’s Commercial Real Estate team is seeking a highly motivated intern for the 2024 summer with an interest in pursuing a career in commercial real estate or commercial banking. This position will work closely with all team members including relationship managers, asset managers, and other functional areas on a range of projects to support CIBC Bank USA’s multi-billion dollar national portfolio of commercial real estate loans. The intern will gain hands-on experience in the Commercial Real Estate lending business through exposure to a wide range of team members and projects, and the opportunity to work on live deals alongside experienced Commercial Real Estate Lenders. 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support various projects for the Commercial Real Estate Lending group.
• Assist in underwriting of live transactions. This may include market research, completing comparable transaction analyses, and Sponsor due diligence. 
• Preparation of internal memos and approval documents alongside relationship managers. 
• Perform market research and financial research regarding real estate transactions, supply, demand, and market trends. 
• Assist with collecting and organizing various data to support portfolio-wide analyses.

SUMMARY
The mission of Corewell Health is to improve health, inspire hope, and save lives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

They will extract data using query functionality and prepare the resulting data for analysis using appropriate data transformations.
 
This position will frequently perform data analyses using SAS and/or R and use these systems to generate reports from databases and specialized queries. They will continually assess data to determine its accuracy and precision and develop procedures for error detection and correction. They will help develop programs that facilitate the tracking of data longitudinally and assist in creating data dictionaries as appropriate to best practices standards. They will occasionally handle the manipulation of data output to develop unique reports to meet special requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end financial reports
• Post journal entries
• Generate payment vouchers and issue cheques
• Assist in raising invoices
• Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Track and reconcile bank statements
• Assist with audits
• Handle administrative work
• Perform other responsibilities and tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Relevant educational qualifications in accounting
• Knowledge of accounting
• PC literate, proficient in Microsoft Office
• Has the ability to communicate well with others
• Eager to learn

We are now seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing Intern to join our Australian team, based in Sydney. To be considered for this role you have a passion for creating content and community building, with a curiosity to learn and develop social media marketing skills. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Content Creation and Management:
• Develop engaging and original content for various social media platforms.
• Film and edit short-form video content that aligns with Sleek's brand image and marketing goals.
• Photograph events, or other relevant subjects, ensuring high-quality imagery.
• Design and create compelling graphics using tools like Canva, Adobe suite or equivalent to support marketing campaigns.

• Social Media Management:
• Post content across multiple social media platforms, adhering to a content calendar.
• Monitor social media channels for customer feedback, inquiries, and engagement opportunities.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop social media strategies and campaigns.
• Analyse social media performance metrics to gauge the success of content and strategies.

• Team Collaboration and Reporting:
• Work closely with the local marketing leader to align social media activities with overall marketing objectives.
• Assist in strategising marketing campaigns and brainstorming creative ideas for brand promotion.
• Report on social media performance, insights, and trends to the marketing team.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall marketing strategy.

• Learning and Development:
• Stay updated on the latest social media trends and digital marketing techniques.
• Become well acquainted with the Sydney entrepreneurial / business landscape to identify opportunities for content creation - e.g. identifying entrepreneurs suitable for interview.
• Actively seek feedback and guidance to improve performance and skills.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops offered by the company.

• Educational Background:
• Currently pursuing with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field in a top tier university or business school.
• Skills and Experience:
• Basic knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing.
• Experience in creating and editing video and photographic content for Meta/ Tik Tok is a plus. 
• Proficiency in graphic design tools like Canva, Adobe suite, or any equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• A passion for content creation and community building.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn and develop social media marketing skills.
• Creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
