HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) is a merged Further Education College Group in West London. We have five campuses at Harrow on the Hill, Harrow Weald, Hayes, Uxbridge and Richmond upon Thames.
We are seeking to appoint an Internal Auditor to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
• Performing and controlling the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
• Determining the internal audit scope and developing annual plans
• Obtaining, analysing and evaluating accounting documentation and information
• Preparing and presenting reports that reflect audit results
• Identifying loopholes and recommending risk aversion measures and cost savings
We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate the following:
• Previous internal audit experience, from scoping through to finish, with sound knowledge of audit principles
• Up to date knowledge of internal l audit standards and good practice, including the public sector internal audit standard
• Ability to find practical and innovative solutions to a range of financial, governance and risk areas
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels

Role Overview:
The Visiting School International Engagement Officer works closely with the Head of the AA Visiting School (AAVS) to manage, develop, and organise all aspects of the Visiting School, and oversees the VS Coordinator on administrative and operational matters. This is an initiative-driven role with primary responsibility for the development of international and UK engagement through AAVS programmes, partnerships, collaborations, funding, and dissemination.
The International Engagement Officer will establish and manage partnerships and collaborations with institutions, practices, brands, and other stakeholders expanding and strengthening global networks to support the Visiting School’s activities. The role is key to communicating the AA’s approach to global challenges, driving innovative approaches to change, and fostering global impact by connecting with international press, academic leaders, businesses, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.
Key to the role is the International Engagement Officer’s proven track record in developing and nurturing strategic relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and funding bodies, which is essential to securing financial support for AAVS initiatives and to ensure the sustainability and expansion of its activities. Through targeted outreach and engagement with industry leaders, alumni, and global partners, the International Engagement Officer will strengthen the financial foundation of the
Visiting School, enabling it to continue delivering impactful educational experiences
worldwide.
