Graduate Internship Opportunity Grade 4 (SCP 5–7) 35 hours per week Term time + 5 additional days £19,096 - £19,741 actual annual salary Fixed term – Thursday 21st August 2024 – Wednesday 20th August 2025 St Mary’s College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Are you looking for a challenging opportunity to develop your skills and make a difference to the lives of young people? We are a Catholic secondary school and sixth form in Hull, recently graded as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, including for our Sixth Form provision (November 2023). We’re offering an outstanding graduate the opportunity to join our thriving Sixth Form academic and pastoral support team for the upcoming academic year. As well as supporting the wider sixth form team activity, the successful candidate will be working in small groups and on a 1:1 basis with 16–19-year-old students. Your remit will focus on developing independent learning, organisational & scholarship skills. As part of this you will be a key lead, supported by the Head of Sixth Form, in developing our increasingly popular level 3 Extended Project Qualification provision. Your focus will therefore involve enabling our students to achieve their full academic potential, preparing them for the rigour of high-level University study. Our facilities are outstanding and include a purpose-built Sixth Form facility. We have invested heavily in high quality ICT to support and enhance the learning experience. If you have an excellent degree (minimum 2:1 from a top University) and a real desire to make a positive contribution to the education of the next generation, we are keen to hear from you. A visit to the college is encouraged, to arrange an appointment please contact Mr Charlton/Ms Horrigan on ( 0 1 4 8 2 ) 8 5 1 1 3 6
