Trainee Traffic Management Operatives – Torquay

Our clients require Traffic Management Operatives to carry out tasks such as setting up temporary traffic lights, manning road closures ensuring all schemes run smoothly and efficiently during each working day.

Due to the nature of the industry each role would require a certain flexibility and must be able to work both days and nights, including some weekends as required.

Successful candidates for the role of TM Operative should have

Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to carry out work to a high standard
Good communication skills
Good timekeeping skills
Willingness and flexibility to undertake some shifts out of normal working hours
Willingness to carry out other tasks upon request
Ability to always maintain Health and Safety standards
A can do and responsible attitude to work.

Applicants must

Hold a minimum 12D TTMBC, T1/T2 or above
Have a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points
Minimum 1 year driving experience
Be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test when required

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday, days or nights with some weekend and bank holidays when required

Rate of Pay:

Up to £144 per shift to start with increased payments for weekend and bank holiday work

These will be PAYE positions so you will benefit from:

Weekly Pay
No umbrella payments or fees
Only Tax and National Insurance deductions and this will be shown on your payslip.

More detail about the role An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and well-motivated candidate to join our friendly Mortuary Services team as a trainee Anatomical Pathology Technician. Applications are welcome from compassionate, conscientious individuals with good administration, communication and technical skills. Based at the Royal Devon and Exeter (Wonford) site, the role is diverse and the post-holder will be responsible for providing support and practical advice to the bereaved, assisting with post mortem examinations, reconstruction of the deceased and supporting the corneal retrieval scheme by performing enucleations. Other duties include being involved in a full range of Mortuary and Bereavement service roles such as admitting and releasing of patients to funeral services, administrative duties and maintaining the cleanliness of the department. The right candidate will strive to deliver the highest level of service to the bereaved and associated service users. The role at times can be emotionally and mentally demanding. It requires meticulous attention to detail, high-levels of concentration, moderate physical strength and a positive attitude. Due to the nature of the work successful applicants will be required to undertake a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure Check/Enhanced Disclosure Check. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided, however previous related work experience would be advantageous. Participation in the departments on call rota is a requirement of the role, and a full-driving licence is required. Candidates shortlisted for interview will be required to visit the department for an informal tour, practical assessment and to meet the team. The successful candidate will be enrolled onto the Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology after 1 year of employment subject to competency review. Successful candidates will be expected to join the Associated of Anatomical Pathology Technologists (AAPT) and maintain continuing professional development. The Role: We have several opportunities to recruit enthusiastic and committed Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (Trainee PWPs) to join our expanding NHS Talking Therapies service operating across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. In this role, you will provide Low Intensity interventions whilst undertaking the Post-Graduate Certificate delivered by the University of Exeter commencing in March 2025.This training post will equip you to provide Step 2 Guided Self-Help Low Intensity Interventions to clients with a range of common mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression, for which CBT interventions are demonstrated to be clinically effective. You will be joining a motivated workforce and will be supported in the completion of both your academic study and clinical delivery by skilled and experienced supervisors. This role will be offered on a permanentcontract. The role typically comprises 3 days per week undertaking clinical practice with the service and 2 days per week attending university. University days will be hybrid training of a combination of remote and face-to-face teaching in a Bristol based location. The role is likely to include remote working but attendance at one of the BNSSG offices will be required at least twice a week.
