To undertake through each patients individual care plan, those duties delegated by the Team Leader and Case Manager, which the Health Care Assistant has been trained and is competent and confident to perform. Job Description:
As one of our new SEN Teaching Assistants, your role will be to support our children with their learning and general wellbeing to ensure every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment. Where necessary, this may include supporting with care needs from time to time, as well as positive behaviour management, adopting a tailored approach to the individual child.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils to help them feel safe and enable them to enjoy and learn during their time at the school.
Promote and encourage independence and personal development in pupils and maintain high expectations of behaviour at all times.
Support the class teacher and contribute to providing high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities and experiences through supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aimed at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning.
Qualifications and Personality:

Ideally relevant qualifications or experience in education or childcare.
A caring and patient personality with a strong commitment to supporting children with special educational needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to undertake further training as required.

Your new company

Hays are working on a job with a small school in Bidford Upon Avon who are looking for an Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant to work within their school on a long-term basis. This job is 5 days a week between 8:45 to 3:15pm, with an hour lunch break, Monday to Friday. The school is looking for someone to start immediately, but will also consider a January start.
The rate of pay is between £80-£100 based on experience, but this rate is negotiable.

Your new role

Your new job will be working within a classroom environment supporting the teacher in an early years class. You will be required to assist with intervention work, particularly focusing on the early year's curriculum, tailoring interventions to their specific needs. This may include phonics and maths interventions. You will be contributing to maintaining an outstanding learning environment and providing targeted support to early years students.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working with primary-age children
• Strong knowledge of the early year's curriculum
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A nurturing approach to learning
• Passion for supporting student success
• At least 40 days' worth of experience working with children within the last 2 years.
