We are looking for an Assistant ER Advisor for a fixed term maternity cover based at Frimley Park Hospital. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is already studying for their CIPD level 3/5 although consideration will be given to someone who aspires to do so.

Although primarily based at Frimley, the role requires the ability to work/travel cross site to attend meetings. These locations include sites we have out in the community.

You will work closely with the HR Business Partners and the Senior ER Advisors on all sites to support provision of the following to managers and staff:
• Consistent HR advice on a range of employee relations matters
• Sickness absence – advice to managers to support them in the management of sickness within their departments in line with Trust policy
• Probation support to managers and staff who experience issues within the probation period
• Arranging employee relations meetings and providing admin support e.g. preparing paperwork for hearings and tribunals

At Frimley Park Hospital, our team of 15 junior doctors at FY2 / ST1/2 level (SHO) work in a variety of specialties including colorectal, upper GI, vascular, urology and breast surgery; supported by 12 FY1-level doctors, 10 Registrars and 4 fellows in General Surgery and separate Urology and Vascular teams’ registrars/fellows.

We are looking for suitable candidates to join the SHO team. We provide high quality training, and you will be supported in special interest training where possible. There will be opportunities for minor and intermediate supervised operating and to get involved in research/audit projects with a view to publication.

These are ideal posts for: preparation for Core Training, supporting international medical graduates, building a comprehensive portfolio or those aspiring to ST3 entry. The department boasts successful entries to all the national selection programmes.

Whilst this post will not be recognised for training, there is a strong educational component with dedicated training in clinical, professional and personal skills. All junior doctors are treated equally, with access to Educational / Clinical supervision and a local training programme.

This job is for a Trust Doctor (Junior Fellow - equivalent to ST1/2) to provide care for patients for designated General Surgical teams at ward level, providing support to FY1s and receiving support/training from both senior trainees and consultant staff. Whilst this post will not be recognised for training, there is a strong educational component with dedicated training in clinical, professional and personal skills.
